Mortal sin effects?

I think you really mean you engaged in grave matter?
Whether you were culpable or not and so also committed personal mortal sin is another issue.

If its your first time or you are young and you have no emotional reaction that could indicate non culpability. Your conscience still does not seem to reproach you even on reflection.
That suggests mortal sin may not be on the table.

However it doesn’t matter. Simply go to confession to remove your doubts and move on.
I don’t understand the urgency…you said you don’t feel different.
 
Yeah I’m 27 but I feel if I am trying to find God specifically I should keep the window open between us and not shut myself off from the grace I need for him to change me.
 
That’s a good attitude. God asks no more.
Go to confession and move on.

If its a habit then that possibly indicates something in your life is not being addressed or stress.
Counselling may well help if it affects others.
