Mortal sin of thought? Non explicit and no pleasure

I deliberately dwelled on sexual ideas - like the FACT of people doing sexual things. My imagination did not go into explicit imagining of actions. I still was imagining it like a story and taking mental pleasure in the idea. But I did not have sexual pleasure /was not aroused.

Is this a mortal sin? I need quick answers! Should I just go to confession before recieving Holy Communion anyway?

Talk to your confessor. Entertaining immoral thoughts is a sin .
