As I said, if he wants to eat Indian food and hang out with his friends, he can do that anywhere. He doesn’t have to go to their temple for it.If Satan works through chicken tikka masala and a game of basketball with friends , he’s very subtle indeed.
Satan uses anything he has at his disposal. The lure of going to a Sikh or any temple, any church that isn’t the one you belong to, is such an easy excuse. Go for the food and hang out with friends and then BAM, become a member before you know what hit you. That’s the way they all operate.
“Come learn about our religion. We’ll share our food with you. You’ll meet new people, make lots of friends. We won’t tell you that it’s a ploy to make you leave this God person you worship and convert to our religion.”
You have to keep your eyes open at all times, BoomBoom. Otherwise, you’ll be caught off guard.

Not to mention there is nothing in the OP to indicate an “ulterior motive” on the part of anyone involved. Not the most charitable stance to take.
Do you feel this way about all non-Catholics, or only Sikhs? If I attend my Jewish friend’s wedding at his synagogue, do you think it’s all part of a Satanic plot to get me to renounce Christ?

And you don’t know how much I know about Sikhism and other Eastern religions. I’ve studied them a fair amount as well. Sikhism does not seek converts. That is not to say that one cannot convert to Sikhism, but it is not a religion that seeks to convert, like Christianity and Islam.

Like a roaring lion your adversary the devil prowls around, looking for someone to devour. satan is always very subtle as you said , well as the proverb goes the way to a man’s heart is through his belly.
satan knows that very well, eating too much of chicken tikka masala is gluttony,and gluttony is a vice and one of the most 7 deadly sins, Philippians 3:19 Their end is destruction; their god is the belly; and their glory is in their shame; their minds are set on earthly things. you may say a game of basketball with friends nothing wrong per say ,but missing Holy Mass on a Sunday by playing is definitely a mortal sin,so you see how satan is so crafty,subtle.any food offered to any deity,people is forbidden .Here idols can be anything a book,persons,they believe in incarnation of persons,From the Council of the Apostles this has not been changed,that you abstain from food offered to idols.
There is only one Master Jesus serve Him alone,and not other so called god and lords,they are all started by satan ,and they are satanic as mentioned by @BornAgainCrusader this is nothing to do with people, culture, or celebrations but it is regarding food offered to idols,other pagans
