Mortal sin - why don't people use this arguement more?

Galatians 5:16
“Let me put it like this if you are guided by the Spirit you will be in no danger of yielding to self-indulgence…”.

WOW talk about out of context!!! read the rest of the chapter please, he’s referring to those who were teaching the requirement to follow the “Law” as a requirement for following Jesus.
 
Giver please consider the effect of your statements. Person “A” was a good person who truly loved God, however, due to influences beyond his control, he was led astray and yes sinned. You are telling him he has no chance of redemption!!! If you lead a poor soul astray and make just one person give up I dearly pray for your soul, you know full well how God will treat you. Trust me you can say you love God but if these words of yours deceive one soul into despair and rejecting God you will not be joining us in His presence. There are souls out there hanging on by a thread, I’m very happy you are not one of them, but, don’t you dare tell anyone if they sin after knowing God they are doomed. Think for a second what you’re saying!!!

I’ll let you read what Paul was referring to: (Galatians 17:20) “Since self-indulgence is the opposite of the Spirit, the Spirit is totally against such a thing, and it is precisely because the two are so opposed that you do not always carry out your good intentions. If you are led by the Spirit, no law can touch you. When self-indulgence is at work the results are obvious: fornication, gross indecency and sexual irresponsibility; idolatry and sorcery; feuds and wrangling, jealousy, bad temper and quarrels; disagreements, factions, envy drunkenness, orgies and similar things.

That is right only people who practice “Self-indulgence” as Paul described them need the law. If the Holy Spirit guides a person they don’t need the law.

WRONG!!! The Holy Spirit guides THE CHURCH into all Truth, and THE CHURCH declared, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit (NOT THE “SCRIPTURES”, WHICH DIDNT EVEN EXIST IN THEIR ENTIRETY UNTIL WELL AFTER THE COUNCIL OF JERUSALEM) that Christ fulfilled the Law (thats MOSAIC LAW), and that our salvation was not contingent on our adherence to said Law (again MOSAIC LAW). This garbled drivel of extremely poor theology threaded together retroactively to support a preconcieved set of Doctrines that you claim to be “revealed” to you and you alone really angers me. What exactly is your agenda anyway ?
