Thank you for your answers.

I did ask my question in the way I did because it was a “open” and “personal” question. I needed to know what happen to me, and also in general what will happen. I do admit it was not as clear as it could have been. I will try to do a better job next time.

God bless you all.

Lasting Faith’s opening post was very generic, so a generic answer would have been appropriate - What do people do to stay in a state of grace if there isn’t time to make it to Confession.

Lasting Faith: Jesus did teach us that there is only one sin that will never be forgiven, “who invented” the mortal sins? And what if we don’t have time to confess? This is quite scary since most of us are not in the state of Grace more then a week or two.

Our world is filled with people who don’t have time to make it to Confession - those who are very far from any parish, those whose parish does not have a full-time priest, those unable to travel to a parish.

Our answers could be tailored to the big picture of “us” that Lasting Faith asked - not to his specific needs unless he specifically wanted to know only about himself.

So, it was his choice to ask his question as he wanted to ask it, not to be told that he should have added more details.
Thank you, I really feel much better, I only wish it would be the first Friday of the Month, that is when a priest come and her my confession and bring me Communion. That is the best day in the month. It is hard to not be able to attend Mass, I miss it, you know, put on your best clothes and make sure you shave really close, I know I am a Catholic all the time, but attend Mass give it a whole new meaning, you feel you are a Catholic.

However, in the case of an act of perfect contrition the forgiveness of your sins is conditional upon your firm intent to get to Confession as soon a possible. If you do not have that intent or even if you do at the time but when there are opportunities to get to Confession you opt not to take them and decide to go at a later time then you have not fulfilled the condition.
If everything is done properly then of course if you die before getting to Confession then your sins would be forgiven and you would be saved.

We should all trust in Jesus.
Jesus gave the Church authority to teach us in matters of faith and morals This means Church teachings are fully supported by God so when the Church teaches that an act of perfect contrition is conditional upon the intent to get to Confession as soon as possible we’d better believe it as God is behind that teaching.

What a beautiful day that the priest comes to bring you the Sacraments - First Friday - the monthly celebration of The Sacred Heart of Jesus.

This most be a very holy priest and what a wonder blessing he gives to you.

Yes he is, and my only contact with The Church I love so much.

Yes, we need to trust in Jesus–and to make use of the opportunities he offers us.

In the Gospels, we often see those who have faith are the ones who are healed or cleansed of leprosy. What does that mean? Usually that they act on that faith and show that they are making use of the opportunity God offers.

It reminds me of that old joke:

A terrible storm came into a town and local officials sent out an emergency warning that the riverbanks would soon overflow and flood the nearby homes. They ordered everyone in the town to evacuate immediately.

A faithful Christian man heard the warning and decided to stay, saying to himself, “I will trust God and if I am in danger, then God will send a divine miracle to save me.”

The neighbors came by his house and said to him, “We’re leaving and there is room for you in our car, please come with us!” But the man declined. “I have faith that God will save me.”

As the man stood on his porch watching the water rise up the steps, a man in a canoe paddled by and called to him, “Hurry and come into my canoe, the waters are rising quickly!” But the man again said, “No thanks, God will save me.”

The floodwaters rose higher pouring water into his living room and the man had to retreat to the second floor. A police motorboat came by and saw him at the window. “We will come up and rescue you!” they shouted. But the man refused, waving them off saying, “Use your time to save someone else! I have faith that God will save me!”

The flood waters rose higher and higher and the man had to climb up to his rooftop.

A helicopter spotted him and dropped a rope ladder. A rescue officer came down the ladder and pleaded with the man, “Grab my hand and I will pull you up!” But the man STILL refused, folding his arms tightly to his body. “No thank you! God will save me!”

Shortly after, the house broke up and the floodwaters swept the man away and he drowned.

When in Heaven, the man stood before God and asked, “I put all of my faith in You. Why didn’t You come and save me?”

And God said, “Son, I sent you a warning. I sent you a car. I sent you a canoe. I sent you a motorboat. I sent you a helicopter. What more were you looking for?”

To trust in extraordinary means when ordinary means are available is not to trust God, but to trust in my own specialness.
