I was visiting a friend of mine today, who unfortunately converted to islam cause her husband is.
He said that in the quran, it mentions that Moses’ corpse will be found well preserved and its in the cairo museum…
Ive tried to do research on this, but cant find anything, does anyone know anything about this? Its the first ive ever heard of it.
It sounds to me they found a well preserved mummy and gave it the name moses???
Anyone know anything about this?
As you probably guessed, im VERY sceptical about his, but want to know something about it

I think he confused Moses with Pharaoh, the quranic verse is this one:

(Quran 10:92):
This day shall We save thee in thy body, that thou mayest be a Sign to those who come after thee! but verily, many among mankind are heedless of Our Signs!

The quranic commentary about that, that Allah had preserved Pharaoh body when he drown in the sea so that the Jews can see him after his death.

However, there are some Muslims (not clerics) who think that the corpse of Pharaoh is still preserved in its original state and kept in one of the Egyptian museums. (no problem, everyone knows that its heresy, but it increases the tourism, another revenue from Islam ;)).

Personally, if Moses’ body was found incorrupt, I’d take it as a sign that he was a holy man 🙂

Keep in mind that Moses is a common Egyptian name, meaning “son”, as in such forms as Tothmoses and Rammeses.

Biblically, God burried Moses, he is not a mummy.

Historically, if someone discovered his body, especially a Muslim state, it would be all over the news.

Not very likely to be true
