Reading Exodus it seems ironic how Moses was chosen to lead God’s Holy people. He specifically spoke to Mose (later on other high priests) and expected Moses to lead these people with his own words. When dealing with all the people became to much for Moses to handle others were appointed to deal with the smaller matters while Moses dealt with only the bigger issues.
It just seemed to me that this may have been the first sign of how God wanted hierarchy within his Church to come, instead of an everyone decide for themselves mentallity. Perhaps this has been discussed before but I’ve never seen it, or perhaps I’m way off, I just thought it seemed interesting.
