You can either study history or make it. I think Bush made a lot of history in 2004.

Jesus Christ 1st
Bush 2nd
Good thinking. I would make John Paul II number 2 and Bush number 3. 👍

Tie
Mel Gibson and Michael Moore

I know the obvious answer is Jesus but I think most people who give out such awards are thinking of people with human natures. Thus Mel Gibson got people thinking and talking about Jesus again. And his movie is like in the top 5 grossing films of all times.
THe latter sparked poltical interest on both sides for the usually boring elections and in a way gave the right a reason to vote and be motivated the left. The poltical backlash gave Bush the win! I totally am disgusted by the man but he was an all to important public figure to ignore.

I like George Bush but I think John Paul II will have had a greater effect on what the world will be like150 years from now. Just my opinion.

George Bush…he made it a more dangerous place by lying us into this war.

Two words: Bush Wins
Absolutely.

Collectively, I think 2004 was also the year of the BLOG. Old media is slow and lazy, and is getting caught flat-footed. This new media is huge, evidenced by this past election cycle and the role it played.

Without question, Howard Dean. Had he not made himself into a bumbling fool, he would have probably won the DNC primary and been soundly defeated at tha hands of GW. He changed the mantra of the DNC, causing John Kerry to almost entirely rethink his campaign, and eventually loose the presidential election by appearing untrustworthy under duress. Truely, this election was the DNC’s to loose, and they can almost single-handedly thank Howard Dean for creating so much confusion within the party that they went into the Presidential race without a clear message. Thanks Howard! See ya at the Inaugural Ball…er… …well, maybe NOT!

Yes…George Bush is man of the year 👍
Mr. Bush definitely deserved to be Time magazine’s Person of the Year (as they call it now), but watch out with the little “thumbs up.” The Man of the Year has to do with influence, but it need not be of the best kind. Yes, the Holy Father has been named, but Hitler was also named (1938), as was Stalin (twice).
