I can’t believe Mother has gone. It is so wonderful that Our Lord has seen fit to receive her soul on the day of His Resurrection. I rarely if ever shed tears for public figures but I have had tears in my eyes since reading the news. God bless you Mother, you have brought the light of Christ to so many lives with your shows and prayers.

May she rest in peace.

I fondly remember watching Mother Angelica Live with my mother. She was such a blend of wit, wisdom, and faith. She will be greatly missed.

I remember as a 13 year old boy seeing this nun on TV while staying in a hotel in Florida one day. It was the first time I was ever exposed to Catholicism. I spent half of the remainder of the free time on the vacation watching EWTN. When I got home I was crushed when I found out we didn’t have EWTN at home.

Before I knew it I was ordering a rosary with my lawn mowing money and hiding it under my bed. (I didn’t know how my parents would react so I hid it) Eventually when I was 16 I went to a summer camp and came home to my mom who told me she had found something in my room. She said of all the things she thought she might find in a 16 year old boys room a rosary was not one of them. (long story short they were surprised by didn’t mind)

EWTN was my initial exposure to the Catholic Church and has since played a lasting role in my faith. I don’t know what kind of person I might have been had I not flipped through channels and happened upon this intriguing nun talking on TV, but I very much doubt I would have the faith I do today.

Thank you Mother Angelica. I had always hoped I would get to meet you one day, but hopefully we will see each other in the Kingdom.

Happy Birthday into Eternal Life, Mother Angelica.
Rest in Peace in Jesus’ Arms…

If she made it, for we can never know the state of a soul, Im imagining her in her beatiful wedding dre…armour when she finally met her spouse.

Rest in peace mother.

Mother was instrumental in my faith formation. I love her and will pray for her but I don’t think any sad emojis are warrented.

May she rest in peace. I remember getting to meet her (before she had a stroke) when our parish group traveled there for a retreat. She was remarkable.
