I believe that in time she will be seen as one of the greatest influences on stopping the drift of the American Catholic Church.

Not just the American Catholic Church, I watch her here in Latin America :yup: EWTN in Spanish is also becoming influential down here. Their recent coverage of World Youth Day was great! Viva Madre Angelica y EWTN! 👍

I give Mother Angelica & the Holy Spirit all the credit for my conversion to The Catholic Church. I have no doubt that I was led to discover EWTN on my television. That was about 13 years ago. I always went to Church, but for a good while I felt like something was missing. I’ll never forget the first time I tuned in, there was Mother Angelica and I instantly became interested in what she was saying. She was talking about Jesus present Body, Blood Soul & Divinity in the Blessed Sacrement and the fullness & truth of The Catholic Church. I mean, here’s this Nun who told it like it is and had this knowledge and wit about her that just commanded my attention. I watched her and other shows on EWTN for about 2 years before I actually went to my first Mass where afterwards I inquired about RCIA classes. So, I really have a special place in my heart for Mother Angelica:love: !
Don’t forget to put EWTN between your Gas & Electric Bill, even if it’s 5 or 10 dollars, it all adds up!:yup:

I read Raymond Arroyo’s book in one sitting! It’s that good!!!

Her network saved me from leaving the church.
Me too!

I am so thankful for all the wonderful programs on EWTN. Sometimes I feel guilty that I don’t watch it enough!

Mother Angelica took two relativistic, Barney catechized Catholics who were seriously suffering and turned us into real Roman Catholics who are healing quite well. We wouldn’t have learned about Catholic Answers and so many other signifcant aids to our lives.

She is an incredible woman and her impact on the world hasn’t been fully realized yet. This head-strong and openly fallable woman helped so many people see their faith through her inspired view. She was so human that her corrections for us were not just some irrational crankiness coming from a holier than thou sister.

I believe she will be canonized someday. Her faith is incredible and the stories of those who are closest to her are so full of her amazing communication with our Lord.

I haven’t read Raymond Arroyo’s book yet. My budget doesn’t allow me to buy any more books for a while – at least that is what my husband told me. So I will have to wait.

I cannot thank God enough for Mother Angelica and EWTN television and radio. She has transformed us – who thought we were good Amercian Catholics – into faithful and sincere Roman Catholics

About 11 years ago, I remember channel surfing and coming across Mother Angelica. I was not Catholic (grew up Lutheran and had attended non denominational and Assemblies of God churches). I listened for a bit. Kept listening more and more, because She makes so much sense. The first time I ever saw or listened to Mass was on EWTN. I’m now completing the conversion process.

Mother Angelica let the world know about the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and Mercy Sunday. She and St. Faustina have made quite a team.

Mother Angelica has temendously influenced my life because of EWTN. I was a child when EWTN came out and I remember thinking “oh no! A Catholic one of those channels.” I was afraid it would be like the religious channels that had Tammi Faye Baker and others just trying to get money for their shows all the time. Boy was I wrong! It is a great source of information to the world, both Catholic an non-Catholic. I have learned so much from EWTN and it has contributed to an adult conversion. EWTN was there when I began seeking to inform myself about my Catholic faith as an adult. It is often a springboard for further study. It is often a comfort late at night, especially when Mother Angelica is talking some sense into people and helping them to find God! Thank God for Mother Angelica and for EWTN!

Without EWTN I wouldn’t have been watching it.
I went through RCIA last year.

WOW!! Thanks everyone! I guess with over 80% of the vote favorable Mother has really made an impact. Now that is a successful life wouldnt you agree? I know she will be a Saint someday!

If it weren’t for EWTN, I would have been convinced that the Church I learned to love- by first being inspired through the sacred music, and the reverence of the Church- didn’t exist anymore, since nowadays priests and liturgy directors seem to treat the great sacred music that was once loved- and is still loved by the rest of the world- like nothing more than an eyesore- a useless relic of the past- a reminder of a bygone age people are all too ready to forget. I probably never would have converted- or my conversion would not have lasted.

Mother Angelica understands suffering, and can reach those who suffer- she’s been there. She can also be tough as nails when she needs to be, but she has a good sense of humor so that people don’t think they’re just getting a lecture- at least I never felt that way.

Yes, that is so true! She has suffered much in her life and has set such an example for the world. She tells us to take our sufferings and unite them with Our Lord’s suffering on the Cross. It brings us closer to him. God Bless Mother Angelica. She has brought so many of us to the Truth. What a legacy!
