I saw a comment on a mother Mary video and it said “The devil did it” That shocked me, could it be the devil fooling people? Please explain that to me, can the Devil perform stuff like that? Or as it really Mary, if it was Mary, why was she crying? 🤷

Could you post the link to the video? It would help indeed. My probable conjecture is that is from anti-Mary and anti-catholic posters.

And the devil will cause Mary to cry? On the contrary, the devil is scared of Mary, and speaks of reverence in her presence because of what she did at the cross. And Mary will be the one to crush the serpent’s head.

At the cross, Mary forgave and loved those who crucified her Son, instead of condemning them. My source is from the book The Rite by Matt Baglio, if you are interested.

This link should take you to the prologue of the book…and notice how the demon’s voice changes in the presence of her: scribd.com/doc/43209605/The-Rite-by-Matt-Baglio-Excerpt

And why don’t you provide this article to those guys who posted about the devil causing Mary to cry:

I saw that video, I do believe it was Mary weeping. But yeah in some cases the Catholic Church as ruled that not all appearances of Mary are supernatural, and if supernatural, not all are signs from Heaven.

Some apparitions such as “Our Lady of Ezquioga” are condemned by the Catholic Church while others such as “Our Lady of Medjugorje” are still being looked into.

Concerning apparitions of Mary, the Church…

  1. *]Make sure it’s not a hoax (like a staged illusion)
*]Make sure it’s not explained by natural causes (like if they say a statue of the Virgin Mary is crying but a leaking pipe in a top of the statue)
*]Make sure the person does not have a mental illness and is not simply “seeing things”
*]Make sure the devil is not at work

The Medjugorje (sp) issue was resolved a long time ago, it was not a miracle. Catholics are not allowed to pray at that site or attend that site with intent to legitimatize the area. The only time a Catholic is supposed to go, would be out of curiosity and only from an observational stage, as in sightseeing. If you go, do NOT partake in any kind of devotion or you could be putting yourself in danger and in trouble with the Faith. Medjugorje is false. I personally don’t have the link that denounces it at the Vatican level, but I’m sure if you look through the threads here you’ll find it as I’m sure I read it here from one of the many wonderful posters on this site. God Bless

Hello again.

Other people have responded with specifics about Mary and Marian apparitions. I am going to respond to the part about the devil being able to do stuff.

The devil is real and yes he can perform feats of supernatural strength and wonder. The devil is con artist and will do anything to distract you from your faith. Sometimes that includes niggling your brain while in front of the blessed Body of Christ in Eucharistic Adoration or taking a little thing that happened and causing you to obsess on it and fester anger.

Would the devil cause tears to pour from a statue if it would take your attention away from the Christ? YES

Would the devil actually distort a statue of Mary? I don’t know, maybe he is afraid of her.

You do need to be cautious and guard yourself against evil. There is a prayer asking for St. Michael the archangel to defend you in battle.

I gave my prayer card with it to my husband but I’m sure you can find it using google.

we don’t know what video youmean
we don’t know what you mean with “it” said the devil did it
we don’t know what the devil did in the vido
so therefore, we cannot give you any helpful feedback

no don’t post a link to a video I really don’t want to watch anything about the devil

why don’t you frame your question about the Virgin Mary, or about satan, or any other topic and let us answer you that way.

That’s because it hasn’t been denounced. It is still under review by the Vatican commission, no formal decision has been given.
