Why would he have to? Is it not obvious in verse 5? Who else could this man child be who rules the nations with an iron rod that she gives birth to?If this was Mary, why didn’t John call her by name. wouldn’t he have recognized her?![]()
to you yes it is obvious, based on your world view and teachings, not to me.Why would he have to? Is it not obvious in verse 5? Who else could this man child be who rules the nations with an iron rod that she gives birth to?
Yes.to you yes it is obvious, based on your world view and teachings, not to me.
The question is who is this woman. I beleive it represents Israel and is not Mary. the 12 jewels are the 12 tribes in which the messiah was to come from.
But for me to keep trying to figure out every tittle in Revelation is to miss the point of the book. which is to find encouragement and that God is in Control no matter what.
Can you step back across the cavern of time and really believe that the 7 churches understood this to be Mary, when reading this letter? I’m not so sure.
We’ve asked you over and over where this church was that you spoe of, but we haven’t gotten an answer to that either.I didn’t call him that. I asked a specific question which I still haven’t received an answer for.
You’re really funny sometimes.Hey look, no matter what I say you are going to refute it. You are going to defend your church and what goes on it in no matter if it is right or wrong. You would much rather call me a liar than to admit that many Catholics do in fact worship Mary and petition her for things that only God can grant and you know it in your soul. I understand that as do millions of other Christians in the world.
I quote from a Protestant who was devoted to Mary;Hey look, no matter what I say you are going to refute it. You are going to defend your church and what goes on it in no matter if it is right or wrong. You would much rather call me a liar than to admit that many Catholics do in fact worship Mary and petition her for things that only God can grant and you know it in your soul. If the woman is Mary, then who is the dragon? If the dragon was/is symbolic, then what does it represent? Or was it a real dragon?Revelation.
Jesus never called His Mother by Her name, either… Jesus always called Her by the title of “Woman”. St. John says that he sees a Woman clothed with the sun…and 12 stars…hmmmm…whom, after Her Son is still taken up to Heaven, is still being attacked by the devil. Sounds like Our Lady to me…(of course, one could also read Israel or the Church in this.)
the serpent in the garden of eden, who was the serpent? if the serpent was/is symbolic, then what does it represent? or was it a real serpent? If the woman is Mary, then who is the dragon? If the dragon was/is symbolic, then what does it represent? Or was it a real dragon?
So what?? There are many Protestants that are devoted to praying with Mary and the saints. Anglicans pray intercessory prayers every Sunday with the saints. What is your point in this? You must be very ignorant of Protestants if you think that what you quoted is an isolated thing.I quote from a Protestant who was devoted to Mary;
“Whoever possesses a good (firm) faith, says the Hail Mary without danger! Whoever is weak in faith can utter no Hail Mary without danger to his salvation.”

Where’s your evidence? You haven’t provided any. Yes you have called me liar. Stop trying to deny that. Face it. You can’t prove what you say using Scripture. You haven’t thus far and you are not going to. So stop already. You cannot use rhetoric that comes from nowhere but your church and what it proclaims about itself. These perversions of truth are not acceptable as a refutation because they are not. You’re really funny sometimes.
Yes, your assertions have been refuted.
Here is the definition for the word “refute”
1 : to prove wrong by argument or evidence : show to be false or erroneous
So you see, you have been proven wrong by evidence.
No one has called you a liar, so quit with that already. It is extremely childish, not to mention a lie.
No matter what anyone tells you, or shows you, you have your mild already made up on the issue, so why go on with it.
You know nothing of the Catholic Church, especially considering you yourself claimed to be a “devout” Catholic.
Give it up already.
You would much rather call me a liar .
Yes you have called me liar. Stop trying to deny that…
Dude, get a grip. I have not called you a liar. If I have, show me the post!! You can’t!!Where’s your evidence? You haven’t provided any. Yes you have called me liar. Stop trying to deny that. Face it. You can’t prove what you say using Scripture. You haven’t thus far and you are not going to. So stop already. In case you hadn’t notices, Proallen, these are YOUR posts. Not someone else’s. It would appear that YOU are the only person saying that you are a “liar”.
As my grandmother would have told you, “Don’t take names to yourself; someday, one of them may stick”.
I haven’t called you anything, myself. If I were to call you something, it would be “more than a little confused” & “prone to acceptance of bizarre notions learnt from Chick tracts”.
Now that Jack Chick: he is a liar. Andseveral
other even less pleasant things…but, I digress.
