Why would he have to? Is it not obvious in verse 5? Who else could this man child be who rules the nations with an iron rod that she gives birth to?If this was Mary, why didn’t John call her by name. wouldn’t he have recognized her?

to you yes it is obvious, based on your world view and teachings, not to me.
The question is who is this woman. I beleive it represents Israel and is not Mary. the 12 jewels are the 12 tribes in which the messiah was to come from.
But for me to keep trying to figure out every tittle in Revelation is to miss the point of the book. which is to find encouragement and that God is in Control no matter what.
Can you step back across the cavern of time and really believe that the 7 churches understood this to be Mary, when reading this letter? I’m not so sure.

Hey look, no matter what I say you are going to refute it. You are going to defend your church and what goes on it in no matter if it is right or wrong. You would much rather call me a liar than to admit that many Catholics do in fact worship Mary and petition her for things that only God can grant and you know it in your soul. So you see, you have been proven wrong by evidence.

If the woman is Mary, then who is the dragon? If the dragon was/is symbolic, then what does it represent? Or was it a real dragon?Revelation.
Jesus never called His Mother by Her name, either… Jesus always called Her by the title of “Woman”. St. John says that he sees a Woman clothed with the sun…and 12 stars…hmmmm…whom, after Her Son is still taken up to Heaven, is still being attacked by the devil. Sounds like Our Lady to me…(of course, one could also read Israel or the Church in this.)
If it was/is symbolic, then the women must have also been symbolic. A symbol can’t persecute someone. The same goes the other way around.

So what?? There are many Protestants that are devoted to praying with Mary and the saints. Anglicans pray intercessory prayers every Sunday with the saints. What is your point in this? Where’s your evidence? You haven’t provided any. Yes you have called me liar. Stop trying to deny that. Face it. You can’t prove what you say using Scripture. Try looking back through the thread where all of your accusations and assertions have been proven to be false. Yes, they have been proven false, including responses with scripture.
