During what part of the mass was this done? Was it in the Eucharistic prayer? I don’t think priests are supposed to be inserting saints into the Eucharistic prayer.I’m just wondering the rules about mentioning Mother Teresa during Mass. The priest mentioned her when he was asking for the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, all the Angels and Saints, St. Ignatius Loyola, then he mentioned Mother Teresa. I heard that the priest can only mention canonized saints (i.e. they are in the canon), unless you’re in her diocese, or something. I’m in St. John’s, Newfoundland.

I believe they can at least insert the names such as the name of the patron Saint of the church they are celebrating in - and I know priests who are also religious might insert the name of the founder of their order - eg a Dominican will say St Dominic etc.During what part of the mass was this done? Priests may insert names of saints in EP III who are saints of the day or patrons. They cannot in EP I, III or IV though I’ve found that practice many priests do so anyway in II and IV .During what part of the mass was this done? Was it in the Eucharistic prayer?
