Someone pointed this book out to me and I was unsure of how to respond. If anyone has any information on this issue or book I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Mother Teresa is both … sinner and saint … she dedicated and lived a life in pursuit of the Gospel commission … and received the grace to be like Christ in serving others … inspite of any doubts, inspite of hardhips, inspite of personal failures …

Mr Zima’s work is interesting but in truth - he is not the individual that will decide the case for canonization … and using his standards I am not sure that Agustine or Aquinas would meet his criteria for all thoughts and words spoken …

And his criteria is very simplistic … for example his critique that Mother Teresa did not actively seek to ‘convert’ non-Chirstians to to the faith or non-Catholics into the Church … the truth is that Mother Teresa did bring many to the faith non-Chrisians and non-Catholics … she did this by her actions and not verbal persuasion … but she did actively bring people to Christ Jesus … he just fails to recognize the ‘method’ … especially because the method recognized that God came to save all people … and that she met people where they were in their journey of faith … maybe he does not know the power of sharing hte Gospel by respecting first the person of faith [and ergo their faith] for the truths that it contains even if imperfecty …

Just my thoughts …

A red flag went up when I read this thread, and I wondered what could motivate the author to devote himself to besmirching the holiness of Mother Teresa. It took just a few seconds to search for an answer.

Mr. Zima is a former religious brother of two communities: the Brothers of Our Lady of Reconciliation and the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I believe the “slaves of the Immaculate Heart” is a schismatic order…that long predates Vatican II. It was founded by Father Feeney, who was thrown out of the church in the early 1950’s for saying only baptised Catholics will go to heaven or some such.
He, unlike Mother, was not able to fulfill his vocation for whatever reason. The word “former” is very telling. More telling is his formation in the order of “Feeneyites” – enough said, for those who know the background of Fr. Feeney.

This author audaciously has contacted the Pope to intervene in her process of canonization. Wouln’t you like to be a fly on the wall to hear his scathing condemnation of her?
