I proved it with the picture of her wearing trendy sunglasses.

If you don’t believe me, thats your problem not mine.

Isn’t stephen a Jewish name?
Ok… 🤷
And your point about my name? I have not done any real research about the origin of the name Stephen. But I was named after St. Stephen. Hope that helps.

Okay tell me you are joking right? Those glasses were not even part of the picture, ie. add on or touched up how ever you want to state it.

Secondly if sunglasses means rich than a lot of us are being robbed.

Thirdly if someone wants to accuse someone like MT of not doing enough than I sure hope they are at least doing the same or more than she. So in other words if you are sincere about this claim than I would like to see what you are doing to help the dying and the unwanted so that I may be able to help.

You dare to ask me if I am joking, when your username is ST Lucy!! How dares you besmirch our Sainthood by bestowing one upon yourself, you evil, sick harlot!!

As for what work I do for the poor/ill? Well I’m a volunteer nurse in a local nursing home, and I am travelling to the stricken area of England called “Barnsley” to offer aid to the many thousands of AIDS victims over there.

:coffeeread: I just say let cross rant…If that somehow makes him feel better…Joke or no Joke…Don’t know if he is here just to pick a fight or is just having a boring day…I am not going to feed him anymore…

Get down on the ground and lick the taste of defeat from the rotting, putrid wastelands of social humiliation.

Night night tiny dancer…

Wow, are you a Christian?

Okay my user name. Is St. Lucy patron Saint for eyes here is her story:catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=75

I picked it because my young daughter who has eye problems has chosen her as her patron saint.

But way to go on the charity part.😉

I believe we are on this earth to live our own lives, not vicariously through something else ie. a Saint.

But thanks for the encouragement for the charity work I do, maybe you could come on a mission to Barnsley one day, and help out.

Well, my calling right now is to raise my children to be good Christians.

But you are wrong God has set us wonderful people to look up to St Lucy is one and I believe Mother Teresa is another.

I am sorry to hear that you feel you don’t need anyone but yourself.

not at all, I need many people in my life. The local shopkeeper who specially orders in my carbonated holy water, the local bookmaker, my family and friends, and not forgetting the great Lord himself, along with the scriptures he has provided, I have become a truly reformed person. My old life was that of a wandering criminal. I traveeled from town to town through eastern europe, conning, pillaging, and stealing. But now I am holy, and happy. 👍

Well, I am very happy to hear of your conversion, and I will pray that you will stay on the right path. But the Saints in heaven are also part of the those who we need, they are also part of this wonderful family our wonderful and loving God gave to us.😉

Hi Everyone,

Oops. Looks like I brought the controversy over here. :o

Honestly, I didn’t know until just this week that Mother Teresa was such a controversial figure. Of course it makes perfect sense–Jesus was, too, and He promised that anyone who follows Him will be likewise persecuted.

As for Mother Teresa with the sunglasses–it’s amazing what can be done with Photoshop! 😃

I am now compelled to do further research. NotWorthy, thanks for the welcome and the links. I especially appreciated the Hitchens rebuttal–I think he has provided a lot of highly questionable ammunition on this topic. My new philosophy: never believe anyone with an axe to grind!

I’ll see if I can do some searching on this forum to see what has been said previously.

Your naievity is endearing.
Cross, I’ve noticed that when people have nothing valuable to say, they resort to insults and cursing.

You can’t expect us to believe your assertion that Mother Teresa lived the high life unless you can provide some believable evidence (other than a doctored photo of sunglasses). Ridiculing us is not going to do the trick–we’re not that gullible. Sorry.

Judy

Wow, one little hurricane passes through and look what I missed!!!

Regarding your “ax to grind” comment", does “cross to bear” fit that mold? Oh well, he was fun while he lasted… 😉

Ok then, here is a picture of her in St Tropez, note the “trendy” sunglasses. What a fraud.

How dare you! You are such a cheater! 😦 This is obviously not the original image. Everybody knows that Mother Teresa was trying to become a **pirate **and she used all the **money ** she was donated to support the Pirates of the Caribbean series.

If you don’t believe me here is a proof! Now, prove me wrong! 😃

Cross to Bear WHAT PLANET DO YOU COME FROM !!! Where were the boats and the private planes and all of that. I truly belive the devil himself is working overtime in your thinking. Its to bad more of the world cannot dedicate themselves to the poor as much as she did. She herself did not call the world press to her door. The world came to see her works, and as the Christ she served, she is also persicuted and lied about.
Nah, not a devil. He’s a troll!! 🙂
I hope he is one of those cute ones! 😛

HAHAH! You people are hilarious!

Why can’t you understand Cross’ satire? He/She was just mocking the claims against Mother Teresa through the use of hyperbole!

Cross doesn’t seriously believe that Mother Teresa owned a yacht, people!:rotfl: 😛

In 1992 she intervened with a court in Los Angeles, which was about to sentence Charles Keating, the biggest fraud and embezzler in American history. His S & L racket stole a total of $252 million, mainly from small and poor depositors. A strong Catholic and right-wing campaigner against pornography in his spare time, Keating gave Mother Teresa $1,250,000 in cash and the use of a private jet, in return for which she gave him many useful endorsements, including a character reference to the court. The court had asked Mother Teresa to return Keating’s donations, which may well have been stolen, but she never replied to the request.

Dodgy dealings indeed.

On a more lighthearted not.
When Mother Teresa died she went straight to heaven. Upon her arival St. Peter informed her that they’ve been expecting her. She was the given her Angel wings for all the great work she did on earth and her angel Halo.Later on that day Mother Teresa was walking around heaven when she saw Princess Diana with an even bigger Halo! Teresa got pissed off, and went to see St. Peter, and asked "After all of my years sacrificing for the poor and the needy, I get a Halo this small. But Diana only took a couple of pictures with some landmine kids and got an even bigger Halo than me!"St. Peter replied, “That’s not a Halo… That’s the steering wheel…”

Not funny.

The joke may not be to your taste however, the story above is true.
