Actually the mother should convert because under Gods eyes the women can be either muslim, jew or christian. The woman has little obligation to religion, but must believe in YHWH God.

The woman is not called to martyrdom with what she’s doing. The mother is making trouble and no one sees it. She’s subjecting her own kids to punishment fo no reason at all. It’s perfectly allowed for her to convert to any YHWH religion. Mormonism and the likes are exluded.

Im sure the priests and imams have told her this over and over and tried to help her, but she unfortunately seems to be causing trouble by taking on a mans role. Conversion for women is skin deep. Men are a whole other ballgame.
Aside from the issue that this has no basis in fact, it also ignores the bottom line - truth, and Truth.

She is not subjecting her children to anything. The fundamentalists are. The subset within Islam that is spawning these folks are irrational, among other issues.

I agree but I tried to find Christian scholars discuss this issue and there is much less discussion than there ‘should be’. I looked for Rabbi’s, Imam’s, and ministers. Nothing. The reason why is because the scholars know the truth of the matter. It’s not politics, it’s about protecting souls. If someone gives you the keys to set yourself free, you can chose to unlock the door, or keep the doors locked.

The priority is** not** to challenge a whole religion of the host country, but to look out for your family first and the children. This is about families and souls, not battling another religion and involving politics when lives are at stake. If something happens to those souls, then someone will have some explaining to do. Running to University and state funded atheist organizations was the wrong thing to place trust in. They should have spoken to the Priests and Imam’s to resolve this situation. Any religious person knows this.

I agree but the Shariah Law (copied mostly from us btw) is taken extremely seriously and cannot be broken. We have civil kangaroo courts and the judge can do what they want. With Shariah if they make an exception for her, then it’s an exception for everyone. It effects inheritance, custody, and effects all sorts of things. It turns things upside down so to speak.

Ok… it’s like taking our commandment not to eat pork (which they also copied), and we all have to follow it by law, but then we make an exception for a single person. Well now everyone gets to use the same excuse to eat pork. And the biggest problem is authority. Only Jesus and the apostles had the ability to change interpretation of these laws (like casting the first stone). Till this day I can’t stress how few people actually hold this kind of authority to actually make rulings. The Muslims would have to come down with a ruling to make an exception that effects bloodlines. It simply won’t happen. They’ll have to come up with an exception. What a mess this is.

To be considered a Jew and go to Israel under Safe Passage. You must:

-Be born of a Jewish Mother.
-Your Mother must have been born Jewish (not a convert).
-Or, you must yourself convert to Orthodox or Ultra Orthodox (very rare).
-Reform And Conservative Judaism is not accepted as valid conversion for Israel.
-Your Father has nothing to do with it.

The above rules factor in Our Lady Mary, Abraham, Sarah, Ishmael, Isaac. They aren’t just dreamed up out of thin air. Imagine trying to change these structures for a single person. I just don’t see it happening.

The 3 day thing is also auspicious too. This is a disaster. They need to give her another charge, let her have another 3 days on the new charges, then Lord have mercy please let her and her husband do the right thing.

 Wow. This bizarre post feels like it’s right out of the Twilight Zone.

And yikes, talk about misogyny. I guess women aren’t capable of true religious conviction. I mean forget about the many female saints and doctors of the Church…

What a post to have on this tragedy. My heart breaks for Meriam Ibrahim and her family. They are definitely in my prayers. Christ have mercy. :gopray2:

GOD IS GOOD! The mother is freed!
nydailynews.com/news/world/sudanese-woman-sentenced-death-christian-freed-court-article-1.1840177

Keep her and her family in your prayers - they’re not safe until they’re in the US where her husband is a citizen.
Yes, I have received same news from site of one of the petitions I had signed, as well !
Evidently this was done by a different Sudanese Court.

PRAISE. GOD ! ! !

And, I agree . We must continue to keep them in our prayers ! :signofcross:

…This is unbelieveable … the mother and her family were re-arrested at the airport as they attempted to leave the country. The reason? A man purporting to be her brother (she denies he’s her brother) wants to assert the family’s rights to revenge for her leaving Islam:

“This is now an issue of honor. The Christians have tarnished our honor, and we will know how to avenge it.”

cnn.com/2014/06/24/world/africa/sudan-christian-woman-arrest/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

Please remember the Christians of the Sudan in your prayers - apparently every country has its nuts who feel personally threatened by complete strangers and feel it is their right to invoke violence. I hope the Sudanese authorities keep those who would do violence restrained.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death
Amen.

This is awful ! Poor Meriam ( and family ) ! To come SO close to regaining their freedom ! Had also heard on EWTN Nightly News, tonight, about 40-50 Security
Personal detaining the family at the Airport. At the time, lawyer had asked for a reason, but was denied. EWTN News interviewed couple of men in their EWTN Studio. And, were told that Meriam & her family will NOT be safe till they are IN the USA !
Continuing Prayers for Meriam and her family ! Dear Lord, Have Mercy ! :signofcross:
