For being Muslim? Muslims are being attacked. Period. They are being attacked by Israel (and Palestine is NOT Israel, please learn the difference. I’m talking about the West Bank and Gaza, aka “Occupied Territories”) attacked by Russians, attacked by Americans!! Innocent people. Killed. That’s my point.
But by your same logic, the Palestinian Arabs living in the West Bank were “attacked” by the Egyptians when they controlled Gaza, and by Jordan when they controlled the West Bank. Where was the call for a Palestinian State then? There are more Palestinian Arabs living in squalid UNWRA camps in Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan than there are in Gaza.

Did you know that the Arab League has specifically denied any Arab state the right to grant Palestinian refugees citizenship rights? I don’t hear you calling this an “attack”. The stick is sharp at both ends.

I see it in a much clearer sense because I have no dog in the fight. These “attacks” is nothing more than sectarian fractures in a post colonial (or Soviet) world.
Sister Amy:
You’re catching on.
Thank you.
Sister Amy:
Did you read my blog? Aw! No, in these places the claim is not offensive Jihad. It is DEFENSIVE.
I don’t understand, you claim terrorism doesn’t exist in religious terms, only political ones, and yet your are using these same nationalist and political confilicts to justify what you deem a “defensive” jihad? Color me confused.
Sister Amy:
Yes.

Tell that to Ziyad Busaileh. Just one person about whom I’ve received a lot of emails recently. What about Sami Al-Arian? What about Imam Qatanani in New Jersey?.
Uhhh…wasn’t your first example in the country illegally? It was ICE who made the arrest. I’m missing in any of the Masnet sites where the crime he was charged with was “Being Muslim”, actually, the offical charges aren’t even listed on any of the sites I’ve looked at.

Sami Al Arian is having his day in court. See, the system works. Funding a designated terrorist organization is a serious charge. One of which Al Arian has plead guilty to (one count of conspiracy to provide help to a terrorist organization).

Qatanani was found “not guilty”, and also had his day in court.

You see, the system works. These people faced very serious charges, and went throught the best legal system on the face of the planet.

Not for “being a Muslim”.
Sister Amy:
As if he doesn’t know?
I’m sure he doesn’t. He probably has bought the false idea that America is the land of opportunity, no matter what your faith is.
Sister Amy:
Differently? I’ll discuss it with you but using real words. Dhimmitude… is not a real word. 🤷
Well, then, bring it. I await your response.

Is “Pact of Umar” a “real word”?
Sister Amy:
Hypersensitivity and conflating pretty much anything to an “attack.” Interesting. 🙂

And you’re welcome.
🙂

No problem. I might take you up on that offer.

Invalid? How so? What did Iraqi civilians to do you? What did Afghani children do to you? Did they attack your largest city? Nope. But they are being killed, slaughtered. Are you saying it’s because they are Muslims?
Americans aren’t trying to kill Iraqi and Afghanis children.

Appeal to emotion fallacy and poor moral equivalence.
Sister Amy:
Think about it, man. How many children died in 9/11? And how many children have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan since the US invasion? 😦
See above.
Sister Amy:
Do you ask this question about Catholics and Protestants in Ireland?
I can’t condone those acts, either.
Sister Amy:
It was applied by Muhammad.
The Banu Qurayza are eternally grateful.
Sister Amy:
And if the Muslims would stick to it, then they would just do better and better. But they don’t. They are as corrupt as we are, if not more.
More wishful thinking. It will be the great lesson of the 21st century, as the failure of communism was for the 20th: Islam as a form of government fails miserably, and where it succeeds, the results are horrific.

Sister Amy said:

For that I am glad. Are you denying that there are Muslims that are terrorists?
Sister Amy:
I consider it somewhat strange and suspicious that not even the terrorists have really admitted to 9/11. That’s just weird. And that Muslims universally condemn it. It is very strange…
YOU’VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! Now your hypersensitivity is moving into full blown paranoia.

Sister Amy:
And I don’t know anything about an embassy bombing in Yemen.
Pick up a newspaper. Happened today.

Muslims are not monolithic in their beliefs. The average Muslims doesn’t view the world as a bin Laden or Qutb does. **

**I’ve heard other Muslims say similar things.

Question: Where are all the “average Muslims” who are shouting down the bin Ladens and Qutbs and the like? Why is their silence so deafening?**

I’ve asked that before of nearly every Muslim on here who is able to have a resonable conversation.

I have been told that they are scared to.

I have been told that their governments have not told them the truth.

I have been told that our media is hiding the story.

I have been told tons of things. None of them ring true.

If 1% of Muslims are terrorists, that is 1 million people. I the rest want to help us, then 999,000,000 should be able to stop that one million.

This DVD was apparently also distributed in local weekly newspapers–my parents don’t subscribe to the N&O but I saw last night it came in the Cary News.

So now I have a copy. (They’re out of town and I’m watching the house.)

It looks just like an advertisement. 🤷

Is there any such thing as “radical islam?”

I think someone made it up.
“radical islam” = Islam

Does that mean you can’t answer the question? Can’t you defend your prophet?

Vickie
In Egypt we say “Angels enter and devils depart.” (it’s jocular: when someone leaves when someone enters).

What defense is there?

I’ll have to start a thread: I don’t PM here.

What’s “wrong” with bookloever?

So terrorists ARE being rational?

Come on, Sister Amy, even you cannot beleive that.😛
The last time i heard a Muslim claim terrorists are “rational” for fighting for “freedom” is when the word “terrorist” was substituted for “mujahideen”. The debate was on the war with Russia and Chechnya.

and palestine, and kasmir, and somalia, and kosovo, and malaysia, and thailand, and lebenon and yemen and india, and USA, and…

The jihad ideology is alive and well in islam and the world today.

Almost 12,000 attacks since 9/11 committed by muslims in the name of islam.
