Based on the book of the same name, it’s about Adolf Hitler suddenly reappearing in modern-day Berlin. A down and out documentarian discovers him first but then a TV network adopts him and puts him on all their shows.

Nobody believes he’s the real Hitler & assume he’s an actor/comedian who never breaks character. Seeing him discover the internet is hilarious.

It’s on Netflix.

This movie is made by the same studio that made Downfall. I think Downfall was the best movie about Hitler ever made. This one appears to be the answer that Constantin Films gave to the famous Downfall parodies. The parodies featured fictional subtitles over what was really being said in German. People are already making parodies of Look Who’s Back. I wish that they had gotten Bruno Ganz to play Hitler in Look Who’s Back since Ganz made a great Hitler in Downfall. I was also hopping for a return of Hermann Fegelein or at least a reference to him. I hope that Look Who’s Back gets a US theatrical release because I don’t have Netflix and I want to see it.

SPOILER

Ah! Now all is made clear.
In the movie the network has to fire Hitler and ratings tank. Following that there’s a scene with the programming director freaking out just like the Downfall parodies. Also, in the movie much is made of Hitler clips going viral on YouTube.

I consider it an unofficial sequel to Downfall.

I spent nearly two hours last nite searching NetFlix and never found it.
