No, but I’m reading two book about St. Francis.“The Lessons of St. Francis”", by John Michael Talbot; and St.Francis of Assisi", by GK Cesterton
 
Do you mean Brother Sun, Sister Moon by Zeffirelli?

Yes, I’ve seen it. I thought it was pretty good.
 
There is also Saint Francis, Troubadour of God put out by Luke Films who made the Therese movie. I have not viewed it personally.

BTW, my wife and I had our rite of candidacy for the SFO yesterday. 🙂
 
Do you mean the one starring Bradford Dillman, Dolores Hart, Stuart Whitman, Pedro Armendariz, Cecil Kellaway, and Eduard Franz, and directed by Michael Curtiz?

WOW! that is great! i am just an observer in the SFO and excited to be a professed.

I also hope that Mel Gibson will make a movie of the life of our blessed father St. Francis. And i hope that it will change the perspective of people on living on simple life and how to accept poverty and humility, chastity, poverty and obedience.
 
I just ordered the newly released DVD of the 1952 Roberto Rossellini The Flowers of St. Francis . I heard it’s supposed to be one of the best portrayals of Francis and his friars that’s come out of Hollywood. We’ll see…

GK Chesterton’s ST FRANCIS is one of the most entertaining, enlightening and occasionally funny book I’ve ever read. Immediately after finishing it, I went back to the beginning and read it again.

I just finished watching Brother Sun Sister Moon. A christian co-worker let me borrow it he loved it.

I thought it was a bunch of ****. It seems really dated to me and seems like the story was changed at whim to suit the director’s 1960’s-1970’s agenda.

I’m debating what to tell my co-worker. I was thinking of something this…

"If you loved this you must of thought that the Golden Compass was pretty good too. 😦 "
 
The best movie I’ve seen about St Francis is the one with Bradford Dillman and Dolores Hart.
Although, it was strange seeing Bradford Dillman play St Francis after I watched him in the movie Compulsion:shrug:
