Has anyone seen the movie? What do you think about the movie?

if you mean the one with Bradford Dillman and Dolores Hart (now abbess of a Benedictine monastery) it was typical Hollywood take on medieval history and the topic, gives a fair retelling of the story of Francis’ conversion, and of how he gathered his original friars, but takes typical filmfare license with factual and historical details such as the relative ages of Francis and Clare, and leaves out some crucial parts of the story. The device of using a fictional friend of Francis who sees through secular worldly eyes is useful. not the best flic about the topic but in comparison with most mainstream film quite enjoyable.

Yupe, well, I guess, I’ll have to look for Francesco (1989) which many people say is the best version of St. Francis movie, right? 🙂
Thanks
