As for Vanessa taking the child as a single mom (after her jerk husband left her)–what was the alternative? Letting Juno keep the baby? Teenage mom?

There’s so much more. No time for me to post it.
I’m totally with you up till this point. The alternative would have been for Juno to select a different couple to adopt her baby. There are sooooooooo many happily married couples who would love a baby and provide a wonderful family for him.

I stand by original post that “Vanessa” knew her marriage was in deep trouble - knew her husband wasn’t totally on board, but she wanted a baby so badly so she tried to keep that from Juno.

I would never choose for my child to grow up without a father.

I have a copy of the Drama Juno from my local library.

I’ve heard this film is perhaps one of the best Pro-life themed movies out there. However I originally did not see it at the Cinema because, even though I am a fan of Young married love(and think this should be brought back into our society), the movie seemed to have a promiscious Teen Pregnancy theme to me.

Does this show that there are Positives and Negatives to films and television? does this show the human nature of such media forms?

That a movie can have a Pro-life message and perhaps a negative Teen Pregnancy side to it too? Can audiences tend to see one theme or the other and go for compleatly diffrent reasons “it’s a good movie” or “it’s not so good”?

For example, would someone who was a Catholic see the Pro-life message, while someone who was not(Or was a Catholic but was against promiscious teen pregnancy) would see the other messages of the film? I think I would like to see this film now, where as I didn’t before.

Juno is a personal favorite! Definitely see the movie!

Yes, there are downsides to the movie as you mentioned, but I think the positives outweigh the negatives. I don’t want to spoil the movie, so please trust me that it is worth watching. There are other positive messages extending beyond the subject of abortion.

The biggest takeaway from this movie should be the fact that either “choice” in a teen pregnancy is not without extreme pain. My hope is that many teens will see the movie and realize that they should abstain, and I believe it is possible that this movie has had that impact.

Also, check out Bella. It was actually released around the same time as Juno.
