It’s a little dated, but because it’s a true part of the Church’s history, there is a chance they might like the story of St. Joseph of Cupertino entitled “The Reluctant Saint”.

As mentioned - a bit dated, but plenty of humour and fine acting by Maximilian Schell and Ricardo Montalban, and a good sprinkling of the miraculous also. I’ve yet to meet anyone who didn’t enjoy this movie.

I loved this movie. It’s not stuffy or one of those movies where yur kids go:“Oh no, not another religious movie!”
Really a fine film.

I’m 33 and my wife is 28 and we watched the Hitchcock Classic “North By Northwest” the other night and we were absolutely spellbound by it!!! We started “Rear Window” Sunday but I fell asleep during one of the slow parts. She said it was really good.

So, since these are great movies starring some of the best actors ever, I don’t see why a High School aged teen wouldn’t enjoy them.

Hitchcock was, I believe, a practicing Catholic. You should try to find a copy of “I Confess” with Montgomery Clift. It is one of Hitchcock’s lesser known movies, but it’s my favorite and certainly the most Catholic!

Practicing or not he certainly had problems with indecency in some of his films, so you have to watch your step with his work just like others.

Unlike some of his other movies, “I Confess,” is not one that needs to be avoided. It is about a priest who refuses to break the seal of the confessional–no matter the consequences to himself.
