My DH and I are moving 1.5 hours away from where we currently live. This is the first “real” move for both of us (my first move was when we got married and I moved in, but I had very little things and my parents did all the hard work. My husband’s first move was when he moved into this apartment and he only had a few boxes worth of things, no furniture).
We have to move out by the 31st and we can’t move in to our new apartment until the 4th, so we’ll be staying with friends for a few days. It’s going to be kind of hectic for a while, I think.
Not to mention we’re moving to a new town and have to go to a new church… it’s a lot for us to deal with all at once.
Anyhow, we’re both kind of nervous/stressed about this whole deal. Any special words of advice or tips for first-time moves?
