I quoted this from the cure d’ars today book.The Cure in this book was St.John Baptiste Vianney and Ars was the village where St.John B Vianney spent his missionary work for 41 years.
Here is a curiosity we cannot pass off,a glimpse of a great science of soul behind smaller sciences of time and space,within the limited horizon of a place called Les Dombes St.John Vianney acted as though he could see beyond the peripheral vision of human imagination and memory.A considerable part of the world came to find all the parts of the world put together in Ars,as if all the paradoxes of nature were becoming splendid platitudes.For example,a woman St.John Vianney had not met went to Ars privately mourning her husband,who had drowned himself.St.John Vianney singled her out in the church,and before she could say a word he told her,“Do not worry.Between the bridge and the water your husband repented and made an act of contrition.Pray for him.”
