what doest MP stand for? It would be helpful if you spell it out. It will help others to search posts easier using keyword.
 
It looks like its official, the MP does exist, this web page is always the first to publish anything related to the MP.

Nothing “official” here; this is an interview between Cardinal Bertone and a French magaizne. This is all part of the testing of the waters through the press.

While it does portend for good hopes, nothing will be official until it is announced. But that will be the real and true announcement and not a “looks like it’s official” magazine interview.

Well, Cardinal Bertone is the second most powerful person in the Vatican.
