Not me. I didn’t like his eyes. I also didn’t like how literally no one every seemed happy in the Land of Make Believe. If you can’t be happy in a land you imagined yourself, where can you be happy? The queen and prince looked so miserable and Daniel Tiger was always cowering and fussing over something, half the time it was over something ridiculous. I understand that anxiety is part of life, but it isn’t the whole of life! (Or at least it shouldn’t be.) It’s also contagious and when you see a character feeling anxious over, well, everything and anything, it makes kids feel like the world is a lot scarier place than it needs to be. That’s part of why I didn’t care for the modern Daniel Tiger at first. I felt like alot of his jealousy was too suggestive. My daughter had a new baby brother and I didn’t want her watching a character who encouraged her to be jealous of him or feel neglected when she really didn’t feel that way on her own. So, that’s why we took a tiger hiatus. In retrospect, it was probably a low point of the series because there were so many episodes focused on Daniel being jealous and insecure in a row. The more recent episodes include a lot more of Daniel’s friend and the jealousy, meanness, anger, anxiety, etc is distributed more among the various characters and Daniel is depicted as being confident, kind, a good problem solver a lot more frequently.

Yeah, I’m probably more of a model train person anyway. I do like doll houses though!

Thank you for this insight into US popular culture. Mr Rogers is new to me. He sounds like a North American who is not excited to me. Nice to hear.

Different priests have different styles. I think variety is the spice of life. They are there to lead the Mass and to deliver the message.
It is not the performance of a priest, but the way as we as parishioners do our part in glorifying God through words and song, in concert with the priest.
May we all do our part each time we help celebrate the Mass.
