If you can handle some foul language, you might want to check out this video to find out who Muhammad Hassan was.
I found a wrestler by that name.If you can handle some foul language, you might want to check out this video to find out who Muhammad Hassan was.
And he wasn’t even from the Middle East.He was a former WWE wrestler. His tenure was short lived in WWE because they were trying to capitalize on anti-Muslim sentiments after the invasion of Iraq. He was immediately given
"top spots’ working with wrestlers like Hulk Hogan. However, a lot of other wrestlers got jealous and Hassan’s popularity never caught on, so he was released.
Given my heritage, I think I shall share my mother is often mistaken for Italian. See how that works? He resembles another Italian - Sylvester Stallone!
The video said he is Italian.Given my heritage, I think I shall share my mother is often mistaken for Italian. See how that works?![]()
True. And he wasn’t even from the Middle East.
really??!! I never knew that! how easily we are deceived.True.
That’s like the Native American, Iron Eyes Cody, who was popularized in the early 80s in those littering commercials on television, you know the crying Indian ones? He was 100% Italian and had no Native American heritage whatsoever. But that’s how he was portrayed anyways.
That goes back to that point about my mother. I am not a full blooded Indian (both parents, mixed race), but my mother STILL gets mistaken for Italian. I was talking about my tribal affilation and whatnot to a lady from the land of Scots and she said that I just don’t “look it”. I said “No, I look Indian. The problem is most Americans have no idea what Indians looks like”. And American Indians aren’t a monolithic group anyway. Italians don’t generally look like Russians. One of my ex girlfriends is, I believe, half Italian and half Indian. Makes sense for HER to be mistaken for Italian. Because…ummm, she is. I also have an ex that is mostly Spanish and Portuguese, but because she has dark eyes and dark hair (and I don’t), yep, she’s gotta be Indian (which annoyed me at pow-wows, where you’ll find a lot of gray eyed Indians, that are, you know, rude to other gray eyed Indians). C’est la vie. But my mother doesn’t understand how she looks Italian.True.

For some reason, this just reminded me of Baltimore PD Lt Alphonse Giardello:That goes back to that point about my mother.
