To me violence is an excessive state of a rage in a human being. Muhammad was the most normal person of the world, of all times, in my opinion. A violent person cannot truthfully find any excuse for assault on any innocent and peace-loving citizen quoting from Muhammad’s teachings or his deeds, impossible.

Quran was revealed piecemeal in 23 years of Muhammad’s ministry; 10 years in Mecca and 13 years in Medina. As his life proceeded with events, so did his revelation from God Allah; so Quran is no hypothetical, it is all rational. Quran encompasses, therefore, all principled teachings of Muhammad as also all principal deeds of Muhammad. It is full life account of Muhammad’s ministry and hence logically needs no external resources of history. The truthful history if any is therefore a servant of Quran; and there is no history which is more authentic and truthful than Quran about Muhammad’s life, his teachings and deeds included.

Paarsurrey - are you saying that because the quran contains the teachings of Mohammed then there is no need for anything in the quran to be externally verified on an historical level? Sorry Im confused about what you’re claiming

Hi

I don’t see any comments from sister swariffin and sister kellie in this thread.

Are you OK both of you in Indonesia and Austalia?

Thanks and regards

I believe that’s what he meant. The only historical verification Muslims acknowledge are from revisionists who blot out early Islamic history and conquests (replacing them with peaceful versions) and Da’wah.

I wasn’t aware of any go-back link. The OP mainly focuses on paarsurrey’s sentence - that “Mohammad was the most normal person of the world” What say you?

How are we defining “normal”? Typical of his times? Typical of his tribe? Typical of people in general? In reasonably good physical and mental health?

I think only the last one would apply to Mohammed. It isn’t typical for people to invent a new religion, and then evangelize it by violence. In fact, this is quite rare.

It is rare. I don’t understand how anyone in good conscience can justify all that hate and violence he preached and still think he was ‘normal’.🤷

Its hard to be considered normal when he was a military leader that laid the foundations for an Arab empire.

Yes, being visited by an angel is totally normal. Yep, nothing extraordinary about that. Why, it just so happens that angelic visitations come about every single day on Earth. Mmhmm. That’s how I roll.

Did you notice the pun at the end? 🙂

The blue arrow at the top of the quote. That’s a link to the original post. Or, it should be, but it’s the wrong one.

I have not visited this thread just recently. But I vote for undecided. Normal person in the world means that you are still let the earthly thinking and behavior still control you such as lust, greed, anger, you name it. A prophet of God should be able to control this. A perfect example of what a person must supposed to be as intended by God was given by Jesus Christ, not by others, certainly not by Muhammad nor Mirzha Ghulam Ahmad.

A sister is a brother minus the torpedo, but has the torpedo tube, brother. To me, I am not offended because I believe a sister or a brother is a human being whom must be respected and treated equally. 😃 I am just kidding but surely I am not offended, brother.

It is normal for someone to be visited by an angel from a previous revelation, to proclaim a contradictory message. Pun intended. 🙂

Hi

Do you mean that all military leaders are just abnormal persons.

David (from whose line was Jesus, it is said) was also a military leader, it can be said, who succeeded making an empire. What is you opinion about David please?

I think in a sense Moses also lead an army of people with him; though it was sometimes after his death that the Jews could establish a Jewish Empire. What is you opinion about Moses please?

Were David and Moses normal persons? Kindly make us wise in this connection.

I love Jesus and Mary as I do love Buddha and Krishna.

Thanks

Hi

I would like to define “normal” as a “standard”. A man who has excelled in every singe human instinct; may be of the physical realm or moral realm or spiritual realm, sum-total of all three realms.

I love Jesus and Mary as I do love Buddha and Krishna

Thanks
