Muhammed married around eleven wives (some sources say 23) excluding the right hand possessions, so if that polygamy law is from Allah, then why he prohibited that on Ali, why the double standard!!!, first by Muhammed himself breaking the 4 wives limits law, and then by denying Ali from taking a second wife just because Ali was married to his daughter!

**Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 157: **
Narrated Al-Miswar bin Makhrama:
I heard Allah’s Apostle who was on the pulpit, saying, "Banu Hisham bin Al-Mughira have requested me to allow them to marry their daughter to Ali bin Abu Talib, but I don’t give permission, and will not give permission unless 'Ali bin Abi Talib divorces my daughter in order to marry their daughter, because Fatima is a part of my body, and I hate what she hates to see, and what hurts her, hurts me.

**Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 5, Number 268: **
Narrated Qatada: Anas bin Malik said, “The Prophet used to visit all his wives in a round, during the day and night and they were eleven in number.” I asked Anas, “Had the Prophet the strength for it?” Anas replied, “We used to say that the Prophet was given the strength of thirty (men).” And Sa’id said on the authority of Qatada that Anas had told him about nine wives only (not eleven).

…Muhammed himself breaking the 4 wives limits law,
Why are you spreading lies & hatred ? As an ex- Muslim , surely u read Quran at least once in your lifetime. Don’t u know wives of the Prophet are Mothers of the Believers ? God made that an exception for the Prophet that he was not allowed to marry anymore or divorce any of his wives when ordinary Muslims could do that. Prophet never broke any law of God Almighty.

To be a good Christian , u don’t need to lie , right ? Just curious , are u still a half Muslim/ half Christian or u fully dedicated to Christ (p) now ?
… denying Ali from taking a second wife just because Ali was married to his daughter!
Ali (ra) wanted to marry a woman who’s father was against Islam . So , Prophet (p) said , daughter of an enemy of Islam & daughter of Messenger of God can’t reside in the same house.

Are you saying these were somehow Mahomet’s spiritual wives?

They how did they bear him real chidren?

How about the 9year old girl Mahomet married and had sex with?

Isa akbar!

**Isa akbar!

ISA AKBAR!

I bear witness there is NO GOD but Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and Jesus is God Incarnate risen from the dead.**

Why dose Islam need so many Mothers?

We Catholic Christians have one Mother, the Church, and Mary, in so far as she is a figure (sign) of the Church, is the spiritual mother of Christians. So we have one Mother. Surely the Mothers of Islam cannot be like the Fathers of the Church, that is, the men who taught the faith to the early Christians (in the New Testament, “father” means a teacher of spiritual things, just as “son” means a disciple of a teacher).

He is not spreading lie or hatred, but he is giving us the authentic news. And though his flesh is still Muslim but his soul is Christian ,so he is 100% christian in faith:) .Here an apologist informed me about Baptism by desire,And he(sam) is baptized by his desire.

PS.for sam_777:Nice work my friend Sam.carry on:thumbsup:

Muslim Woman, there is no need to become flippant. Not all of us abbreviate the name of Muhammad.

Anyway, thanks Sam for this thread. I always learn a lot from your posts, and they are also good practice in reading Arabic. 🙂

:dts:I can’t understand how Muslims like to hide the truth, I was pointing out about Muhammed denying his cousin Ali from marrying another wife, NOT about Muslims marrying Muhammed’ wives.

Well said morning_star777, let those who say otherwise bring authentic references for what they claim.

not to my knowledge. Uthman married 2 of his daughters, but not before one of them died.
What would be an issue to me is if NONE of his daughters were allowed to be part of polygamous relationships. It is bad enough that his favorite was kept out of it. If being one of several wives was not acceptable for his daughters, why is it acceptable for someone elses?

for the same reason no man is allowed to marry any of his widows i guess.

Mohammad’s daughters were too precious to be ravaged by polygamous men.

This is really a topic that has my attention. Are there any good sources on this?

these are certain:

His sons died. His daughters were Zainab, Ruqaiya, Umm Kulthum and Fatimah.
Zainab was married to her maternal cousin Abu Al-‘As bin Al-Rabi‘.
Ruqaiya and Umm Kulthum were both married to ‘Uthman bin ‘Affan( he married one after the death of her sister).

Fatimah was married to ‘Ali bin Abi Talib.

This is called the prophetic household, beside all Muhammad’s wives. No polygamy is mentioned regarding his daughters.

Interesting. Very interesting.

I await to see how Muslims defend this doublt standard.
