I understand that the Ruthenian Greek Catholic Metropolia of Pittsburg in the United States and the Eparchy of Mukachevo in the Ukraine have no actual canonical relationship despite the fact that the Holy See classifies them both as being part of the Ruthenian Greek Catholic Church. Is there talk of elevating Mukachevo to an Archeparchy and perhaps giving it Sui Iuris status in its own right? I noted that the single Eparchy in Ukraine has a far larger population base than the entire Metropolia in the US.

There is hope amongst many Ruthenians that Muchachevo becomes an Archeparchy… note that there are 2 other Ruthenian sees in Europe, as well; the hope is that they will be combined into a second metropolia.

What liturgical books would Mukachevo and the other two European jurisdictions use? I know the American metropolia has their own… Is there any level of formal cooperation between the US and European branches of the Ruthenian Church?
