You’re going to get a skewed result to your poll. Of course most of the people on here are going to own / study the CCC. If you take the same poll using a random sample of the members of your local church, you would get a very different result.

Besides, who’s going to write in response, “No, I never read or study the CCC—just not interested!”
A non-Catholic?
:blushing: I do not have a copy of the Methodist Church’s Little Red Book.(“The:rolleyes: Book of Discipline”). (Which is actually a:wink: Large Brown Book).
I only have the wee catechism in the back of the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer…
(The  is because I think all the Wesleys suffered from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and all us Methodists are still  suffering from them!!).

It would be nice to have a catechism. A catechism would not be written in 18th C. Gobbledy-Gook.It would say what we believe, and not what you have to do to form a committee to form a committee to name the committees which the:hypno: Committee to Form the Committees needs to be able to refer to the committees, before the :doh2: Committee to Name the Committees names the committees that the [oy!!] Committee to Form the Committees has formed. (But not named. Because that is a job for :juggle:another committee…[sigh…]).

[Q. What do you do when the toilet overflows in the men’s room at the Methodist Church?
A. You run out as fast as you can, and form a committee to form the Committee to Decide What Committee Is In Charge When the Toilet Overflows In the Men’s Room At the Methodist Church.]

I study the Catechism using the online version at the Vatican website. Looking up the references is easier for me that way especially when I need access to more than one translation of the Bible.

Frequency of study varies from everyday to once per week or less, which isn’t very good I know. My study started because honestly my Protestant acquaintances seemed to know their doctrines much better than I did mine.

I use the online Compendium for things I want to memorize. The idea that people knew more about the Church’s teachings in the days when the Catechism was memorized, fascinates me because it rings true.
