Is it true that St. Louis De Montfort once taught that if you prayed in a group, your prayers would be multiplied? In other words, if ten people prayed the rosary together, each person would receive the graces of ten rosaries, and as a consequence, 100 (ten times ten) would be offered to God. In addition, the person who prayed the best, everyone would receive the benefit of that person’s best prayer? If St. Louis did in fact support this position, could someone let me know where I could locate this? Thank you and God Bless!

You can listen to the homily about the power of group prayer, including more about that St. Louis de Montfort quote, in this homily at Audio Sancto:

Strength in Numbers: How to Leverage the Power of Our Prayers

Here is a prayer that is prayed after each mass at the Mater Dei church (FSSP, Extraordinary Form). It’s very similar to the “Lord Hear Our Prayer” part of the OF.
St. Louis de Montfort says “When we pray in common, it is far more formidable to the devil, because in this public prayer it is an army that is attacking him.”
Let us each unite himself in prayer to Our Lord present in us, and to each other.
Jesus in thy holy name,
We beg Thee to grant each of us a delicate conscience so that we would prefer death to committing even the smallest deliberate venial sin.
We beg Thee to mercifully grant the Poor Souls eternal rest, especially those for whom we’re most bound to pray.
We beg Thee to convert sinners and unbelievers especially those we are closest to or who most need our prayers right now.
We beg Thee to heal any discord in our families.
We beg Thee to strengthen our marriages and grant us vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
We beg Thee to grant each member of our community with a vocation to marriage to a virtuous and holy spouse.
We beg Thee to increase in each member of our community the virtues of Faith, Hope, and Charity.
We beg Thee to mercifully grant the grace for each member of our community to overcome his principle fault and to deliver him from any habits of sin.
We beg Thee to mercifully heal any member of our community suffering from physical emotional and spiritual pain.
We beg Thee to mercifully grant the next member of our community to die the grace of a holy death and that you grant this grace to each member of our community.
We beg Thee to grant freedom for the Church throughout the world.
We beg Thee to grant peace among the nations especially in the Middle East.
We beg Thee to protect our troops.
We beg Thee for the gifts of the True Faith, Zeal, and Courage for Bishops, Priests, and civil leaders.
We beg thee to protect our Holy Father from all his enemies, both within and outside the Church.
We beg Thee to grant each of us an ever stronger devotion to The Sacred Heart and to the Rosary.
We beg Thee to hear and answer the intentions of each one of us here.
Jesus we ask all these things in Thy Holy Name. Amen.
