My elderly mum-in-law has been readmitted to hospital - she recently had pneumonia and now she’s poorly again with kidney problems. We live a long way away and can’t get to her until tomorrow and she is distressed.

I would be grateful for your prayers for Muriel, with many thanks.

Prayer to St. Luke:

Most charming and saintly Physician, you were animated by the heavenly Spirit of love. In faithfully detailing the humanity of Jesus, you also showed His divinity and His genuine compassion for all human beings. Inspire our physicians with your professionalism and with the divine compassion for their patients. Enable them to cure the ills of both body and spirit that afflict so many in our day.

Amen.

***Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death
Amen.

Sincere thanks to you all. She will be comforted to know that she is being remembered in your prayers.

Praying for Muriel and her comfort

Our Father who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil
Amen.

Remembering your mother-in-law in my daily prayers. God bless.

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to her assistance.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

Prayer for the Sick

God our Father, your Son accepted our sufferings to teach us the virtue of patience in human illness. Hear the prayers we offer for our sick sister. May all who suffer pain, illness, or disease realize that they have been chosen to be saints and know that they are joined to Christ in his suffering for the salvation of the world.

Father in heaven, grant Muriel comfort in her suffering. Give her courage when afraid, patience when afflicted, hope when dejected, and when alone assure her of the prayerful support of your holy people. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Thank you all, I have spoken to her and she is much calmer now. She has finally been found a bed after virtually a whole day waiting in the emergency room (this happens in the NHS).

Thanks again for your prayers, God bless you all.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Isca. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Isca’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Praying for the continued good health of your mother-in-law Muriel.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Many thanks to all for your prayers for Muriel.

She has now had three hospital admissions in two months and two bouts of pneumonia, and is again unwell at home with yet another chest infection. She is eating very little and has no energy at all, having to spend virtually all her time resting in bed.

I know she would be grateful for your continued prayers for her recovery. Thanking you all, it is much appreciated.
