Margaret Murray’s The Witch Cult in Western Europe is taken from witch trial transcripts and she lists all the similarities of practice in geographically diverse areas. She gives the age of this cult as neolithic. This suggests it is a primal belief but the symbols used are those of Noah. Following art representing the Flood King we call Noah, he is first seen as man-with-animal-pairs which is later corrupted into an animal-man, and as Noah got drunk and naked, a naked animal-man, the satyr. This is the basis for our popular notion of the devil, and of Bacchus drinking cults.
The man or woman representing their pagan god [Noah] we call the “devil” wears various disguises, including the two-faced mask. This is again a representation of Noah, the man who looked back on the former age that passed away in the Deluge, and who looks into the future, the basis for Janus, and of the Tao T’ieh mask of China with its visage that is both a frontal face and can be seen as two faces in profile. The influence of Noah and his long-lived family cannot be underestimated as this was the last long-lived generation and they came to be taken as immortals. This is the basis for the gods of Mt. Olympus, people but immortal.
Murray notes the animal costumes used never included certain animals. The donkey was never included, for example, and the donkey’s identification with orthodoxy is older than Christ. Jews, for example, were forbidden to raise horses, more an implement of war than the tractor-like donkey. The shepherd-king of antiquity was always seen riding on a donkey. This is because this animal was identified with Noah’s son, Shem, who seems to have been a kind of ancient “enforcer” of orthodoxy. Hebrew lore states that Shem “cleaned up” Egypt but sparked a revolt and had to flee for his life with the bones of Adam. Shem may have had red hair and a passionate temperament because he was depicted as a wild ***, an animal having spiky red hackles. So no donkeys as the witch god.
This places the witch cult as part of the revolt against Shem, who was allegedly tackling cannibalism, his lineage probably forming part of the non-violent Hittite invasion of Egypt. Murray’s book includes toxic plant concoctions that are hallucinogenic and give the impression of flying, so-called “flying ointments” and the recipes extant show their being made with fat rendered from babies. Egypt, originally monotheistic, suffered from priestly revolts that sanctioned cannibalism and there are grisly renditions of this. Melchizedek, the priest-king of Salem, is thought to be Shem or one of is lineage, the remnant that was persecuted for monotheist orthodoxy.
Human sacrifice to the gods–versus Christianity’s God Who as Priest and Sacrifice demands the consecration of bread and wine to eat–is a hallmark of all the corrupt remnants of this ancient rebel cult, whether burning in effigy as the neo-pagans world leaders of the Bohemian Grove in California, or the cannibals who overthrew the Mother & Son cultus in Mexico just before the Conquistadors.
Phenomenologically, Murray reports on medieval activity that she could not have known would be, a few decades later, associated with modern UFO reports. “Cattle blasting” parallels modern cattle mutilation. “Faerie bolts” are little arrowheads thought to be shot into the victim by little people flicking them between the thumb and middle finger. Modern surgery has removed implants from UFO abductees that seem to have been inserted through the insertion of a rod into a tiny socket in the base of an arrowhead-shaped object. The little people themselves parallel the “grays” reported at UFO abductions. Incubus and Succubus parallel the sexual improprieties inflicted on UFO abductees. The witch cults either refuse baptism or renounce baptism, and one Christian researcher noted that UFO abductees are generally not baptized, the only exception being a Catholic housewife who was not abducted against her will. She was asked her permission to be taken (this in front of her large family) and gave it. Of old the witch cult principals might say they were from the “Queen of the Faeries” whereas today they say they come from other planets.
It may be suggested that a demonic oppression is inflicted on those renouncing worship of the Creator, and what is now called the UFO phenomenon is and has been perpetrated by Fallen Angels, known through all cultures as tricksters, liars, and as inimical to mankind. God cursed Lucifer and his spiritual seed with the Woman & Seed, fulfilled in the Virgin Mary and Christ Jesus. The Witch Cult is a corrupt form of Noah worship that has been subsumed by this rebellion against the Most High. What is man that he has been created a little lower than the angels? A being easily duped by technology only a little surpassing his own, and one who will judge the angels as being empowered and authorized to reign and rule on God’s behalf.
