Music and Prayer?

Can i listen to music while i pray? Btw music I’m talking about is like pink floyd, van halen, rush, styx, etc.
 
I cannot see how that would be productive, but if it works for you, go for it
 
All bands I like. Never associated them with prayer. But if it enhances your prayers, as Maximilian75 commented, go for it.
 
The proper way to ask that question is “Can I pray while I listen to Pink Floyd, Van Halen, etc?” Paul answered that question. Pray constantly.

Many saints have reminded us that we should pray without ceasing. So instead of asking can we listen to Pink Floyd while praying, maybe we should ask can we pray while listening to Pink Floyd. Everything we do should be a prayer.

And remember, when it comes to Sacred Music at least, he who sings, prays twice.
 
Why would you want to?

It’s like rooting for the opposing team? If you’re the fan of “x” why would you root for “y?”

Now, if you have inspirational/religious music, perhaps even more so Gregorian Chants…

I think it would be better for you to pray without listening to music since things like this can be distractive. Maybe you could listen to some music after you finish your prayers.
