My fiance and I are getting married in a few weeks, and I need to get music to my musicians 🙂
We have decided to forgo the organ because it is a VERY small church (10 pews per side and no vestibule) and the organ is deafening.
Because hem his family, and my father’s side are baptist, we are doing a wedding outside the Mass. Which then leads me to my question… any suggestions for songs for the ceremony?
I know we need an entrance/gathering hymn, responsorial (but that could be said instead of sung), gospel acclimation (already covered) and recessional.
I am processing in to Ave Maria (not Schubert’s, the other one…who’s author’s name escapes me at the moment), but I would like to have a gathering hymn after the initial procession.
Oh yes, and I would like songs both groups would be semi-familiar with 🙂

Over on brides.ourladyforums.com there is a poster who is a church musician. I invite you over to our little community for that and any other wedding questions.
