Music of the Mass in iTunes?

After Mass, the music remains in my head for days. I’d like to find an iTunes album that contains the same. Can you point me in the right direction?

Well, first you’d need to know what Mass settings and/or hymns are being used. The music director at your parish would know that and might even know where to find some/all of the music on iTunes.
 
Can you give me some examples? I’m traveling for a bit and would enjoy some familiar music.
 
I have found some by Rory Cooney, David Haas ect. on itunes, You could write down the names of the hymns from the hymnal at mass, then search them when you get home.
 
Which form of the Mass did you attend? EF or OF or Divine Liturgy?
 
If you go to the EF, here is a CD that has the Mass of the Angels on it sung by a Benedictine schola.

Gregorian Chant: The Definitive Collection

If you prefer female voices, here’s a CD from the Daughters of Mary that has the Mass of the Angels as well as very many other beautiful Gregorian chants.

I got them both because I kept getting songs stuck in my head after the sung EF masses on Sunday.

latin chants are the norm for the OF too, just as much as they are for the ef.

every catholic should know at least one setting of the ordinary of the mass in latin, set to chant. thats what the church asks.

if priests and bishops want to be disobidient, thats their problem.

How can something be the “norm” when it only happen rarely? It’s fine to say that Latin chants should be the norm or that they are required through the Church’s teaching, but we all know that most parishes use vernacular mass settings. And priests, Bishops, Archbishops, and the Pope himself must be aware of this.

that’s why he uses a large amount of chant during his masses at st peters. always. Of course, theres also choral stuff and polyphony, but theres always chant.

That’s good. Actually to be fair to your original statement I have looked up norm and it has two contrasting meanings:

1.Something that is usual, typical, or standard.
2.A standard or pattern, esp. of social behavior, that is typical or expected of a group: “the norms of good behavior in the civil service”.

So if you take defintion one what I said was correct, but if you use definition two then you too were correct!! I’m always learning new things about our language!

and i would add that his masses are a model for the world. he is asking us to do the same in our parish masses, something that more and more parishes are doing
 
Sorry. Didn’t mean to offend. I’m still new at this. We do sing Latin versions occasionally. It’s just not the “norm” for us. Any English versions on iTunes?
