I play piano/keyboards, guitar (somewhat) and I sing. Is it appropriate for me now to plug the fact that I’m recording a CD (about half done - all original music)? 🙂
Plug away! I’ve learned if ya don’t plug, they won’t buy it:)

Best wishes for a successful project.

I’m a tuba player too. I’ve played professionally in orchestras and brass quintets but settled into being a band director once the family started to grow. I play gigs here and there and am not above “liberating” protestant money when I play at their churches.

I have a musical family, my wife plays violin/viola, 2 sons play tuba, 2 daughters play violin/piano, and 2 little boys who want to play in the band in a few years.

Great way to put it! I’ve “liberated” protestant churches of their money in quite a few gigs, myself! 😉 😃

peace be with you! i play guitar. i have been playing since i was in 6th grade (i am now 20). in the next few months though i am going to purchase a Djembe. it is an african drum which has a really awesome sound.

I play the radio :rotfl:

I also own a banjo, which is very different from knowing how to play the banjo.

I have great admiration for those who can play a well tempered instrument :bowdown2:

flute in chamber orchestra
also piano, organ, piccolo (of course) and have recently begun violin and a little cello.

By the way, I am looking for a 3/4 cello to purchase if anyone knows of one.

👍

I play flute, harp and a little piano. I also teach all three of these. On harp I play for weddings, dinner parties, etc. and sometimes perform with a flutist for such occasions. My main instrument is flute and I especially enjoying teaching fife as prelude to flute for beginners. It is a lot like piccolo, but not as expensive!

I took piano when I was young, and have been playing self-taught guitar now for 30 years - started with my sister’s clunky acoustic, moved ‘up’ to a Fender Musicmaster and then graduated to a Strat in college. Played/sang in a couple of bands over the years, more off than on, and now play ‘out’ mostly at church - two Wed evening Masses a month, and in support of a youth choir at weekly practices and a monthly youth Mass, and the occasional ‘open mike’ event.

Outside of church I’m mostly classic rock, but have recently started getting into contemporary Christian music - praise / worship stuff - good tunes!

I started lessons at 4 (piano) went to Violin at 6. Added Oboe at 11. All classical. Guitar at 12, anything I could get my hands on the rest of my life (french horn, cello, viola, bassoon, flute, organ, etc.) . Have played in prof. orchestras, bands, quartets, etc. Started voice when 35. Made 2 albums using own compositions singing and playing instruments. Converted to the Catholic Church from evangelical protestantism. I love the Catholic Church, but miss the classical style of music that helps me focus in worship. I would love to see a return to some of the gorgeous music once used by the Church. Anyone else out there?

Here! Here!!

I am always so pleased to hear Gregorian Chant and what I call, “The Goden Oldies” - songs like “Holy God We Praise Thy Name”, etc.
