Is there any people here that left Islam? Or do you know of any?
Most of the newer converts to Islam (they’re NOT “reverts”, deal with itI’m not a revert so I don’t know what the appeal is for non-muslims but it would be interesting to hear from someone who reverted to islam why they chose islam knowing fully well they can’t leave the religion along with all of the anti-islam out there.
actually, many of the “converts to Islam” i’ve spoken to prefer to be called reverts rather than converts, the reason is that in Islam we surrender to God’s will and by accepting islam they have returned to the religion (islam) that God gave to all of humanity. Most of the newer converts to Islam (they’re NOT “reverts”, deal with it)
while I don’t deny that may be true in some cases, most of the reverts I came across are happy to be where they are. You would think that once they find out they would regret it but thats not the case from my experience anywayThe people who lure them in normally try to present a more peaceful version of Islam to the potential recruit to get them interested, and then once the unsuspecting dupe actually converts it obviously doesn’t matter from that point on what they find out since there’s just no going back.
thats actually not the case at all. How can you explain differential calculus to someone who doesn’t understand basic algebra. Humans progress in steps from the most easy to the difficult, as we grasp and understand the simple consepts we prepare for complex ones. It is the same as building a house, you’d require a solid foundation before building otherwise the entire complex could collaps.PS: this is called the “milk before meat” philosophy… telling the potential convert all the things they want to hear, and leaving out all the hard-to-swallow doctrines to give them a favorable impression of the cult until they actually join. I’m not sure just how many groups use this method, but I know it’s very common among Mormons as well.
Most of the cooks I have worked with like to be called Chef, but that doesn’t make it accurate. If people want to be taken seriously they should agree to use the generally accepted meaning of words.actually, many of the “converts to Islam” i’ve spoken to prefer to be called reverts rather than converts, the reason is that in Islam we surrender to God’s will and by accepting islam they have returned to the religion (islam) that God gave to all of humanity.
Many hostages come to identify with their captors. Doesn’t make them right does it?while I don’t deny that may be true in some cases, most of the reverts I came across are happy to be where they are. You would think that once they find out they would regret it but thats not the case from my experience anyway
This is wishful thinking, not based on reality. If they were never Muslim before they are not a revert.actually, many of the “converts to Islam” i’ve spoken to prefer to be called reverts rather than converts, the reason is that in Islam we surrender to God’s will and by accepting islam they have returned to the religion (islam) that God gave to all of humanity.
What fundamentals are you refering to?When calling people to islam we present the fundamental principles of faith and once the person understands and accepts these, they learn about the practical principles and then the rest is easy.
No no, they’re all “out of context”What fundamentals are you refering to?
That you believe in Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), and that you strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives, that will be better for you, if you but know!
( سورة الصف , As-Saff, Chapter #61, Verse #11)
And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allah) and (all and every kind of) worship is for Allah (Alone). But if they cease, let there be no transgression except against Az-Zalimoon (the polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc.)
( سورة البقرة , Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #193)
Jihad (holy fighting in Allahs Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know.
( سورة البقرة , Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #216)
I understand them, I do not accept them.
Or a wrong translation from classical Arabic. One would think the all powerfull allah would make it stay in context and translate correctly, but then again he could be leading whom he wills astray. No no, they’re all “out of context”![]()
Heh, sounds like Calvinism…Someone has to fill up hell whether they deserve it or not.
