Muslim converts to Catholicism

HEY I’M BACK!! I know you all missed me…
Pope Benedict baptizes a man born and raised Muslim in Egypt.
I hear on the FOX news station that more and more people are converting to the Catholic faith from Islam. I realize that The Blessed Mother told the visionaries from Medjugorgie that “Even the Muslim will convert”. I feel from this happening that it is the end of times as we know it that is coming in the future. I mean, no one knows when but with everything happening now, it all makes sense.
 
In my RCIA class, there was a lady from a sub-Saharan African country (can’t remember which one) who was raised Muslim. She and her two teenaged daughters were baptised and received into the Church at Easter Vigil the other night. 👍 She said that there was a Catholic mission in the village she lived in as a child, and that she was always drawn to the little chapel there.

Vatican City - An Italian journalist who is under police protection in the wake of threats from Muslim extremists is set to be baptized late Saturday by Pope Benedict XVI, according to news reports citing the Vatican’s spokesman. The Egyptian-born Magdi Allam, a deputy editor for Italy’s most respected newspaper Corriere della Sera, will join five other converts who will receive sacraments from the pope, Vatican spokesman Fr Federico Lombardi was quoted as saying by the ANSA news agency.

Yeah you are right i was watching 700 club on TV. I donot know that where he is from but as you say so that he is from Egypt. Well you guyz happy in that one person once in a while but what about people who are converting from different religions to Islam in thousands quantity. Mashallah

They are coming to the Catholic faith in thousands too. But
I have no desire to enter into a pissing contest.

i think the RCC is still losing a waaay lot more to islam compared to what its getting in return.

Well, converts to Islam don’t have to be put under guard to protect their lives.

Death threats by muslims are not stopping people leaving islam. There is a sizeable ex-muslim christian community as well as a groups of ex-muslim atheists all over Europe.

Muslim countries have often claimed that the entire population are muslims in order to bump up the figures for their faith - despite there being several million christians in Saudi Arabia alone. The figures for no. of muslims is actually misleading.

It is a fact that Roman Catholic is the leading religion in the world. Every sixth person is Catholic. One billion, 500 million are Catholic.
More people are coming home to Rome than ever before.
 
I just found out there are Ethiopian monks living in Jerusalem at the Catholic churches. Just thought I’d share that…:rolleyes:
 
When one person comes Home, not only Catholics on Earth are happy, but also the entire population in Heaven is! 🙂

Dear Righteusone,

Your statistic may be correct. But, I believe the strength of the RCC does not lies on the number of the followers.

My dear Swariffin, what excuse must you give me now for having seeing the leading religion in the world with so many members?
The Catholic church has been started by Christ, so why wouldn’t it make sense to you with as many members as it has?

This is in line with the teaching of Jesus. Have you not heard of it?

The man had 100 sheep but one was lost. He left the 99 and went in the open country to go for the lost sheep until he found it. When he found the lost one, he joyfully put it on his shoulders and wnet home. Then he called his friends and neigbhors together and says, " Rejoice with me, I have found my lost sheep."

Every single individual who is found will cause much rejoice to the Father. Yes, there are many who are lost too but everytime they are found, there will be much rejoice.

You are right, we are happy when once in a while the lost is found.
