I think the Catholics reading this website are the LAST Catholics who would ever get into Mohammedism.

In my view, the Moslem religion is much like Mormonism; a highly-wrought revisionism of Christianity. Their error, not ours.🙂

Historically, they were first treated as a form of Christianity…

There are interesting similarities to the Nag Hamadi gospels in their approach. Perhaps Islam is what Gnostic Christianity would look like.

“Revert to Islam”??? This is one of the many things about Islam that is very bothersome. The belief that everyone is borm Muslim. That non-Muslims are simply taught wrong by our parents.
This is part of the arrogance that is so much a part of Islam! It’s right in there with the no one is more pious than Muslims, Allah only accepts Islam and so forth.
It fits right in with Islam’s attempt to steal the history of Judeism and Christianity and then trying to destroy the two to justify Islam’s existence.
Exactly!
I agree with the original poster. I get very tired of Muslims trolling the internet trying to push their faith on me, trying to convert me and everyone else. We see the actions of your religion from Muhammad, through history up to today. No twisting of history can change it.

You’d do better spending your time trying to fix the problems in your religion and your society.
Couldn’t have said it better!

Look at their method of prayer: repetition without requirement for understanding. They do not care if the faithful actually understand Arabic, but seem to think God only hears prayers in Arabic.
Hi
One must learn the translation so that one understand what one says. Besides the words fixed by GodAllahYHWH to be read while praying, one can usually pray in Sajda in one’s own language whatever it is, GodAllahYHWH knows all the languages. Arabic prayers are prayed so that the original is secured and protected, we have learnt from our Christian friends that their scriptures did not remain secure and protected, so we do not want to lose the original pristine Word of GodAllahYHWH. We care.
Thanks

Hi,
Ive noticed a slight increase in this non-catholic religions thread about muslims telling us how wrong Christianity is.
We believe Jesus to be the SON of God, who DIED on the cross for us, our sins. And nothing anyone says or does will not make me, and im sure many others on here, too change our minds and convert.
I could really get into the thousands of other reasons why I would not convert, but I think this one reason is good enough for me to believe in Christianity.
God bless you all and may the Holy Spirit blesses you like it blesses all of us.
You may talk about yourself here. Just today i received a PM from one brother Christian here telling me that he inclined to believe in Islam and Quran but his people prevent him to do. and he attacking the west.

Hi
There is no dearth of numbers of men/women here. You stick to your own religion/faith/denomination, there is no compulsion. If your heart and mind and soul are convinced only then in one’s own interest one should get converted.
You also have the option to present truthfulness of you religion with rational and reasonable arguments, so why get bored, use this option and remain happy.
Thanks

It is also interesting to learn from this book that the prayers of the Jews involve wash before the prayers, (like Wuduu or ablution for Muslims), and the call for Prayers (like the Azan for the Muslims).
Hi
I appreciate your above post, it is very truthful and informative.
Thanks

So what you are saying is that this person does not have the moral fortitude to come here and speak what is really on his mind. Instead he is pm’ing you with on thing and posting something else on the forum? Is this right?

And he’s attacking the west?

He should some out and discuss these things in the open.

He does know I hope that if he were to convert to Islam, that he can not then change his mind again as its a death sentence to leave Islam.

For all here who wish to pray for my soul, I humbly request that you do it in the correct “Judeo-Christian” way as followed by none other than Jesus (pbuh) himself.

In a book entitled, “To Pray as a Jew”, a lengthy explanation is given of the Prayers as done by the ancient Jews and a few of the contemporary Jews. In this book the author put diagrams showing the movement and positions during the prayer and one quickly realizes the similarity of the prayers of the Jews then and the Salat as practiced by the Muslims.

http://www.submission.org/jews-1.jpghttp://www.submission.org/jews-2.jpg

In his comment about these positions the author wrote : “In most contemporary congregations very few people keep to the tradition of falling prostrate. Sometimes it is only the Prayer leader and the rabbi who does so. In more traditional congregations, however, some worshipers, men and women, will join the Prayer Leader and rabbi in the act of prostrating themselves. In Israeli synagogues, the practice is more widespread than in synagogues elsewhere. Since this is a position that we are unaccustomed to, one who has never done this before might very well demur. But once accomplished, the experience provides such a spiritual uplift that one looks forward to repeating it. Those willing to try this ancient ritual form on the rare occasions that call for it might welcome the following diagrams of the correct procedure”

It is also interesting to learn from this book that the prayers of the Jews involve wash before the prayers, (like Wuduu or ablution for Muslims), and the call for Prayers (like the Azan for the Muslims).
This reminds me of some Catholics at Adoration.

Perhaps Islam is what Gnostic Christianity would look like.
Wahabism and Salafism, particularly as taught by OBL, is pure Gnosticism. They are dealt cults, secret societies, elitist societies which have no regard for the poor and suffering Muslims who look to them for responsible leadership and instead are told to strap bombs to their children by the sniggering, bourgeous, adventurist OBL and his little blood-thirsty buddies.

I don’t even believe that OBL is a Muslim. He has defied even the teachings of Muhammed pbuh!

That’s an interesting viewpoint, Ani Ibi.

Do you think Hezbollah in Lebanon is guilty of the same?

And, do you think the people in Iraq’s Anbar province are getting more aware of this? There have been some headlines lately saying that they are really beating up on al-Qaeda in Anbar.

Muslims seem to be of the opinion that if they repeat a baseless argument enough times, people will start to believe it anyway. That’s the only way I can explain it…?
Sounds familiar.
Over 300 prophecies that Jesus fulfilled as the Messiah. He says that the Scriptures testify of Him. He said that the Holy Spirit testifies of Him. He called Himself “I AM”.
Then, one verse in the Gospel of John, Chapter 19, verse 27; and a body that was not found, and we’re all supposed to believe that Mary was assumed and is a co-conspirator for our Salvation.
On top of that, “she” appears and tells her disciples to wear a scapular if they want to escape Hell, contrary to the Gospel, AND use “prayer beads” that date back to the 14th and 16th centuries (see: theotokos.org.uk/pages/fatima/rosary.html )

Muslims repeating prayers is similiar to praying many “Hail Marys”.

Indeed we will - the truth that Jesus is not just a mere ‘prophet’ but very God himself! :amen: And I care much more what he and God the Father of us all believe about the matter than you or any other Muslim.
Might want to ask a Muslim if their “Jesus”, the prophet, is a false prophet. If they say “no”, then tell them just what their “prophet” said about Himself.

They will have to admit that their “prophet” is not just a prophet, but the Messiah.

A recent article in Newsweek (or was it Time?) said that many westerners are converting to Islam because it takes too long to convert to Catholicism. It takes months of classes just to be a member while Islam only takes repeating some simple words.

The theif on the cross didn’t have to take any classes, just believed in Jesus as his Savior. Peter didn’t have to break into any long prayers repeated on a string of prayer beads. He simply reached his hand towards Jesus and said “help me”!

In the United States, we all have the freedom of religion. My neighbor can be any religion he or she wants to be. If I want to convert my neighbors, I must SHOW them Jesus in what I say and do.

Until then, I’m still waiting for a Muslim to witness to me. Just curious to what they will say and what booklets they’ll hand out.

Okay, you obviously have no clue what you’re talking about…

The scapular is not a part of Catholic doctrine. Bringing this up was only a red herring. Same thing with the Rosary.

Based on what, the fact that you have such a blind hatred of the Hail Mary? By the way we’re talking about repetition of prayers that you don’t know the meaning of - NOT repetition in general.

Also, I do remember you from past threads and how you have proven yourself to be just another troll that’s only here to instigate. Until you change your attitude and/or post something of substance rather than more mindless inflammatory content, consider this my last reply to you. Feeding the trolls is not high on my priority list.

Muslims,

Actions speak louder than words. As long as we see the actions of Muslims contradicting what they say, we will remain non-Muslims.
You mean to say that if the Muslims (the radicals) stopped with their killing and such, you would deny Jesus Christ and profess that “Allah” was the only true God.

Luke 12:8-12.

That was rhetorical anyway… Islam itself was founded on such behavior.

REGARDLESS of how you cut the religious cake ;there is only ONE Islam. Those who choose to use violence are not bad Muslims, but bad PEOPLE.

You need to keep your anti-Catholic rants to yourself and off this thread. People like you merely lower the tone of discussion and add nothing to our knowledge. Your comments show both your ignorance and lack of class.

Well, then, YOU explain the rosary to me. Where did it come from? WHY so many repeated “prayers”? The scapular is very popular among people in your religion.
I’d like to hear it from an “expert”.
