Yes, and what’s more Islam is those Pharisees mentioned in the New Testament as observant Muslims (not secular Westernised ones) are hypocrites and always plot to destroy Christ. That’s why somewhere in the book of Galatians, I read that Saint Paul calls the Pharisees as the child of Hagar and told them that they who want to be under the law will not share inheritance with the child of the free woman, Sara.

Saint John of Damascus, an Eastern Catholic scholar called Islam “a heresy” not a new religion. This shows Islam is a deviation from Catholicism, and the particular annoying thing is Muslims have to blindly follow the example of Muhammad - even acting Arab!

Egyptians were Copts but today after conversion to Islam, they became Arabs. This forced ethnic genocide is racism.

I don’t normally jump into conversations like this, because I don’t know much about islam, but if they believed that Jesus was a truthful prophet, then why did he lie about being the son of God? How truthful of a prophet could He have been? Either He was a liar or God.

Because they only believe what is in their texts, not what is in other’s texts about him. Their texts don’t have those claims.

Quite simply, Islam used the stories of the “Gnostic Christians.” Y’know, the Gospel of Mary Magdalene, the Gospel of Phillip, etc.

Gospels which tell a very different story of CHrist.

Heck, their stories of Isus could very well be those about Simon Magus…

There is a difference between the the misguided faith of Islam and those who profess it. There is also a difference between how my faith looks/acts toward yours.

Catholicism holds:

Since in the course of centuries not a few quarrels and hostilities have arisen between Christians and Moslems, this sacred synod urges all to forget the past and to work sincerely for mutual understanding and to preserve as well as to promote together for the benefit of all mankind social justice and moral welfare, as well as peace and freedom.

This speaks about the individual who exhibit the similarities between the two faiths. It does not give validity to the faith of Islam, and especially not the founder of it.

Islam holds:

O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them. Lo! Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.

I’d rather not get in another debate about how the Qur’an is the ultimate proof of truth…but rather focus on the founder of your faith since the Koran is from your founder directly. If the founder is proven to be of questionable character, morality, and truthfullness, that which he says is true, moral, or of good character is suspect.

These attributes of Mohamet are discernable not only from accepted histories of the time of Muhammad, but from the Quran/Hadeeth itself. Moslem justification to excuse caravan raids, murder, assassinations, lying, oppression, and greed in the name of Islam is disturbing particularly in this day and age. Christ can be held to the same measure- but a differnt conclusion is reached.

Reasonable people can evaluate the time period and circumstances many of these actions took place. Some actions can even be “excused” for the average Arab in the context of the environment of the 7th century, but not all those actions can/should ever be excused, and especially not for one that is held to such high regard as Mohamet is by Moslems.

To see the man as he was, not the prophet he claimed to be is sobering. Adding the title of prophet is unjustified. Muhammed did not have the divine authority he needs for legitimacy, therefore the religion of Islam is a fabrication despite the attempt to legitimize itslef by associating itself with real Truth.

How and why the fabrication (revelations of the Qur’an) came about confirms the falseness of Islam, not supports it as true.
