Where is the outrage from the Muslim community? If this is coming from a western country, y’all be jumping up and down screaming death to the infidels. Anyway, I’m totally against this especially stopping people from marriage. That’s inhumane.
BANGKOK - Some young men and women in Myanmar’s remote west are subject to a form of discrimination, considered harsh even for this country’s military regime. They are banned from getting married.
The victims are young adults from the ethnic Muslim-Rohingya community that has a population of about 1.4 million and is concentrated in the hilly Arakan state, which shares a border with Bangladesh. Myanmar has a population of about 45 million.
