LOL that sad face you see just happened to emerge from the characters they used… hilarious…
Anyway, the first thing I notice is the terrible grammar and frequent mis-spellings. Whoever wrote this thing is probably a foreigner, and the tone of the whole thing sounds like one of the long-winded monologues we sometimes see from certain Islamic apologists even on this forum. The whole thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Here, for example:

The typical “all you stupid kafirs are so ignorant about Islam… because we SAID SO” mentality quickly rears its ugly head.
Then there’s this… You’d think a solid defense of what they sincerely believe to be a logical belief system would be enough “support”, but noo… as always Muslims have to find their strength in potential use of peer pressure:

Below are the only concrete (albeit vague) qualifications that are mentioned… they’re trying to build up the guy’s image already, but what’s the point. Anyone who looks at this objectively would realize that someone with these exact same qualifications and yet was anti-Islam would get looked down upon by these people as “ignorant” or “hateful”:
Sheik xxxx is well known Scholar who has written many articles and published many writings. He has studied Religion in the East as well as the West.
And yeah, we’ve all seen this before. “politefull” must mean you can’t ask a question that they don’t want to answer, even if it’s a perfectly legitimate question. If you do, they will quickly brand you a “liar” or a “racist” (even though Islam isn’t a race at all, beats me why they always do this). What do you think this guy’s going to answer when somebody asks whether or not Islam proscribes the execution of apostates? hmmm
This is a Special MSA EVENT Designed for people who are wondering what Exactly ISLAM is about. NO question is too harsh as long as it is asked in a politefull manner.
Okay I’ve blown off a little frustration here… but seriously, what do you guys think? I’m wondering specifically if you think propaganda events like this actually manage to convince or even lightly sway anyone who was previously ignorant about Islam. It all seemed pretty transparent to me, even when I didn’t know too much about Islam. But I don’t know if that’s the typical impression people get. Maybe this is all harmless in the long-run (and I hope so) but could events like this possibly have an effect if those who know better continue to see them as a joke and look the other way?
