I see Christian websites claiming this and Muslim websites denying it, e.g. “If Allah has forbidden homosexual relations between people in this life, it does not make sense that He would make it a reward in the Hereafter or allow it to be practiced,” and “when Allah Almighty promised companions to the believers in Paradise, He quite clearly and obviously promised female companions for the males and male companions for the females.” Regarding what the Qur’an means, I would generally regard Muslims as better interpreters than non-Muslims, much as I tend to regard Christians as better interpreters of the New Testament than non-Christians.

Do you consider both Christianity and Islam to be equal equivalents? This is what the Koran says. But there are many contradictions in the Koran. Likewise, there is in Paris a Mosque that is dedicated to homosexuals. Likewise, women do not at all have equal status in Islam. Heaven is described as a place for men to lay on couches, eat and drink alcohol which is kinda curious since alcohol is forbidden and have young girls for sex as well as young boys. Sirah 52.

did you watch the Frontline episode on it? The is an endemic practice not just in the country but that whole area of the world. likewise the music these poor boys dance to is not rock and roll but their cultural music.

Not according to the people who believe it. You might just as well be arguing that non-Christian interpretations of the New Testament are more accurate than Christian interpretations of the New Testament.

There’s an “inclusive” Catholic church not far from here that does the same. That doesn’t mean it accurately represents Catholicism.
