Muslims go nuts (again) in Germany

Actually, I think this is one area where Christians and Muslims can support eachother. Christians have a right to expect the most revered figure of their faith is respected to some degree and that their feelings regarding their faith are not ridiculed. Muslims have that same right. For many, the use of Islam’s prophet in a football song is nothing to be overly upset about, and to a degree they would be right, but it also points to a crass disregard for religion in general and a diminished respect for people of faith. This is something that all persons of faith should be concerned about. It would take very little for the football team in question or its fans to change the lyrics of a rather silly football chant (after all, it makes very little sense), so why not do it for the sake of creating deeper respect for faith? I think Christians and Muslims can find common ground in this area.

I don’t understand why this is an issue for any non-Muslim. If Muslim’s are offended by this song, then by all means, they should call for it to be changed. Unfortunately, as both Muslims, Christians, Jews, and other people of faith know all to well, you don’t always get what you want. I don’t have a problem with them wanting it to be changed, although I personally could care less one way or another. Even though I do not personally care though, I will respect their feelings, as I hope they would respect my feelings when something offends me.

Also, I think the title of this thread saying Muslims go “nuts (again)” could be taken as being somewhat lacking in charity. It seems to imply that Muslims (without specifying any specific Muslim persons) are always going “nuts” over silly things.

All these Muslims want is the song to be changed…and the posters here are upset…
Hey … it’s Germany, and the Germans can run their country any way they please. If it makes Muslims unhappy, well, “Delta is ready when you are!” They can live in a part of the world where a discouraging word is never heard.

Nazi rape attempts (on both Jews and Muslims) are now a regular occurrence at University of Kassel, Germany. Prof. Dr. Christoph Scherrer, heading two dullard programs, MA Global Political Economy (GPE) and MA Labour Policies & Globalisation (LPG) in addition to a new center for idiots called “International Center for Decent Work” at the same Nazi fraud university, is being applauded for trying to rape Jewish and Muslim students.

Thank you for the information concerning Neo Nazi attacks on Jews and Muslims in Germany. This is indeed a trend that needs to be snipped in the bud through the use of legal means in the nations affected. Your last sentence however, “Eternal hell on the Germans!” confuses me as to the exact difference between this sentiment and those held by Nazis. Such a sentiment leads me to think your anti Nazi stance is merely a sham.
