Muslims, how much time to pray 4 Raka'ah ?

as a Catholic I respect Islam and I respect the Quran in fact I have a Quran that sits right next to my Bibles and I treat it with the same respect as my Bibles. In fact during Ramadan I where the hijab as my way of standing up against those who commit acts in the name of Islam because I know that is not what true Islam is all about when my fellow Catholics asked me why I’m wearing it (I wear it to Mass as well) it gives me a chance to explain what Islam truly teaches. I just wanted you to know that not all Catholics think Mohammed pbuh is not genuine or something like that. I’m learning Turkish as a second language and I’m currently learning how to pray in Turkish and yes I do pray At Mass in Turkish as well.

If you are a Catholic, you cannot believe in the Quran or Muhammad. Not judging others does not mean that we shouldn’t speak out when evil is committed.

I agree with Vickie on this one, according to the teachings of the Bible, Muhammad considered to be a false prophet:

(Matthew 7:15-16):
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?”

(Colossians 2:8).
“Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.”

I agree with “Aydan” on this one, I see no problem for a Christian women to wear Hijab (veil), my sister is a Muslim, and if she decided to convert to Christianity one day, I don’t expect her to abandon her Hijab, indeed I consider Hijab (veil) to be a great thing to the women, look how the Nuns have all that holiness coming from them.
 
I’m really tired of discussing this if you don’t agree with me fine but could the mediator remove my original posting because this is just causing way too much strife for me I’m done with this.I thought everybody supposed to respect the opinions of other people in this this forum I guess not. And for the last time I never said I believe in Mohammed I said I respect him because my Muslim friends obviously do I’m nearly trying to respect the believes of my Muslim friends that’s it. Now can we please drop the subject? Please don’t put my name in quotation marks it is my actual Turkish name thanks

Respect is an admirable quality,

If you have something good to offer
but do not show respect to and for
the one you are offering it to and for
intended receiver will either tire or be made angry.

Even many pagans would agree with this.

Those who have fallen to false gods
appear to me to lose respect
and grind their axe.

May God bless us when we show respect
and give us mercy and guidance when we fall.

This is a quote is wrong and its poster should re consider as it is not a personal statement but made for Catholics.

Catholics believe that muslims are included in Gods plan of salvation.
If any don’t they are against the Catholic church teaching.

God does not save evil.

The previous pope has kissed the Quran and prayed whit muslims.

My assumption would be then that Catholics don’t believe the Quran is an evil act.

We do need to speak against evil acts, if some one states they commit an evil act in the name of Islam we should say

nay you have done this in the way of shatan.

If a Catholic commits an evil act it does not make statement for Catholic belief.

Are you 100% sure that God The Most High in Judaism & Christianity is Allah himself in Islam?

And what do you understand from (Isaiah 14:12-14):
“How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! You said in your heart, "I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.”

I’m just trying to make sure that I have the correct understanding of what you are saying and I’m confused here but don’t Jewish people also reject the Trinity ? How can the Jewish people believe in the same God as we do and reject the Trinity but then are you Muslims don’t believe in the same God? I don’t get it how can Jewish people reject the Trinity while believing in the same God as we do but Muslims have the same viewpoint and all of a sudden they don’t? :confused: I use the word Allah on a regular basis when I recite the responses at Mass in Turkish.Allah is simply the Arabic/Turkish word for God it’s not a different God or something like that.

You and i have spoken much of my personal place in my faith journey.

My previous posts were about Catholic belief. I have assumed Ayden is Catholic.

Catholic belief is that it is the same God in all three religions.
So continuing my assumption Ayden is right to show respect and should not be continuously challenged after stating position.

For you not being Catholic you can challenge this belief but maybe you should challenge the Catholic church in a new thread. For me personally Ayden also deserves respect.

I see much good fruit from Catholics.

As for Isiha i have seen it as long before Islamic religion. i had thought it the fall of the Angel that does not submit to Gods will.
It would make for great discussion but again maybe new thread.

and other created things. From a Biblical point of view, the 2 are not the same God speaking.
