Every good muslim, christian and jew loves God. Religious rituals are generally designed to reinforce and remind us to love God, often through doing something beneficial for our neighbors.

All three faiths believe in revelation. I don’t know what it means to debate if one religion is equal to another. But there are certainly overriding principals that we share.

Drawing water from a well and getting it from a faucet are not the same thing. But they both can quench a thirst.

Moslems don’t love God, but a god.

So what?

As noted even Hitler had a dog. I’m sure he patted it and treated it well. If you think that this makes him a good person, then that’s up to you.

Only Jesus is the Water of Life"
John 4:14
but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

I shall say no more here, however for this debate should continue elsewhere.

I find this thread really depressing… Some of you guys really have an amazing way of turning anything related to Islam into a negative. Even giving money to charity is evil now…

Is this the official teaching of the Orthodox Church or simply your interpretation? If official, I would appreciate a link to something showing that as I haven’t been able to find anything on it one way or the other and I like finding source material.

I certainly don’t think that that means that patting a dog is evil or worthy of ridicule.
