I am sorry that my post seemed to be aimed at you. It wasn’t. I know that you are as disgusted as I am. I am just frustrated that these pedophile supporters even have us arguing about puberty. I actually thought you did a great job of pointing out that the age was much higher than nine. **josie L, good advice. that was bad of the Conflicted as if he/she owned the America or England. The conflicte dhould know that it was the western countries who came to the eastern countries and captured them. They took away all teh wealth to their own country, divided the people of other countries. They used a part of the people against the others to keep up their political hold on the other countries.
Seeds of enmity were sown amongst the other people and made enmy of each other. Finally, teh western were defeated and had to leave the country. They had the obligation to take some of their faithfuls with them. Now the Conflicted is telling them to go away. Why is that?? As long as the foreigners are law abiding, there is no need to tell them to go away. it is not fair for what was done to them long ago.
This is all politics. We see the Israelis killing the palestinians ruthlessly. I hope that all Jews do not support that kind of killing. We pray for the safety and well being of the Palestinians. They are suffering due to the bad habits of their own men as well as the harsh attitude of the Israelis.

Just giving back what I get on an almost daily basis from the perpetrators of mo’s psychosis simply for being a non-moslem. Oh how naive you are. Try living as a western woman who isn’t a moslem in an islamic country. So until you have walked a mile in my shoes, with all due respect, put a sock in it.
I used to be as open minded as you. However, after being belittled, threatened and insulted over and over for close to 20 years I finally said “screw it,” and stopped being charitable, forgiving or naive.
There is nothing peaceful, beautiful or even worth saving in islamic cultures. islam corrupts as much as nazism corrupted. You are under the fatal delusion that just simply because they claim to worship the same God as you they will be as charitable to you when you are the minority.
You may be okay with having your wife covered simply because mo believed she was a walking hoo-hoo. You may even be okay with some pervert thinking it’s okay to have sexual relations with your young daughter simply because mo did it. I am simply not that suicidal.
If the radicals get the upper hand are so sure your “moderate and warm and cuddly” moslem friends will risk their lives to allow you to continue to worship Jesus Christ, without restrictions? Will they martyr themselves to allow you to continue to commit “shirk?”

As a reader looking for a straight answer to this thread’s question, I want to thank Planten for his clear answer in his first paragraph. I learned something, even though the point of the original post was whether the child’s mother had legal standing in court. That issue is still unclear.
The rest of Planten’s response, however, doesn’t fit the thread’s subject and really belongs in another thread. Of course, bad things happen in ANY society, let alone Western society, because human beings are not perfect, as well we should know (there’s plenty of evidence in history). So referring to bad laws elsewhere, as does Planten, in an apparent effort to make his own position look better is an old emotional dodge amounting to drawing a red herring across the discussion of the thread’s point. If this thread is to be a source of understanding each other, then we can do without mucking up the discussion with implied put-downs about bad laws elsewhere.
