There is no arabic nationality. Arabic culture is not favoured by God. The arabic language is used to communicate the Quran because it was sent to people who speak arabic. The Quran will always be in Arabic just as the Torah is always written in Hebrew. Arabic culture is not favoured by God. On Judgement day God will not favour any one . People will be judged by their obedience to him and their good deeds. islam doesnt teach what you think it teaches .
Wrong. If you mean the OT (Christian Bible), it can be written in any language, and it is still the OT no less dignified than the one in the original language. An Eskimo OT is as good in its purpose as the word of God just like the Hebrew OT.

However, he said Torah, not Old Testament. It should also be noted that the Torah is only the first five books of the Tanakh, what Christians call the Old testament. I’m not too sure what the Jewish doctrine is regarding language used, but I have seen translated copies of the Tanakh, usually along with the original Hebrew and ocasionally transliterated hebrew.
Likewise the Q’uran is available translated, often seen next to the sanskrit text.

Yes, you may be right.

I was referring to my post #8 where I mentioned the Bible. So I thought in a simple way he wanted to mean it’s the Bible.

My stand was that the Bible in any languages do not diminish its value as the ‘Bible’ which is unlike the Quran. Quran translation is just translation which is not equal in stature to the Arabic Quran.

Thanks.

The Torah scrolls, used in services, are always written in Hebrew

The Torah is not the same as the OT. You are right that it is the five books of Moses. Without addressing translaiton differences, the OT consists of more than the Five Books of Moses.

The actual Torah scrolls are always made by hand and are always in Hebrew. The copies of the Torah printed in books, called Chumash, can be in any language. It is permitted to pray in one’s native tongue. But praying in Hebrew is generally preferred.

Reading from the Torah scrolls themselves is only part of the service. The rest of it is read from a Siddur, or prayer book, made up of different prayers, including Psalms and passages from the Torah and the Prophets.

i can somehow understand the OP’s use of word “favouritism” in the sense that one has the impression that Muslims attribute to the Arabic language some divine power because Allah’s word was given in Arabic, that’s why it was forbidden to translate the Quran, and that’s why non-Arab Muslims have to pray certain prayers in Arabic. Some even believe that the “previous prophets” books were also given in Arabic. Allah chose Arabic because , according to Muslims, other languages are weak, with no rich vocab, no principles, formats and formulae to govern their contents and are often incapable to explain their statement satisfactorily

Interesting. In the light of Valke2 explanation regarding the Torah which is always in Hebrew - can the two, Judaism Torah and the Islamic Quran be comparable in the ways Jews and Muslims regard them respectively?

Again I would say this, Christians would have no problem with an OT (which was originally in Hebrew except the deutocanonical books which were in Greek) in any languages that they are comfortable with.

What source do you cite to support that Hitler’s hatred of Jews or his plan to exterminate us was based on his dabbling in demonology?
I saw a documentary about the occultism influence in nazism. The occult/spiritism is demonic and therefore forbidden in the Tanakh. Hitler was influenced by the teachings of Madam Helena Blavatsky.

Besides, all anti-semitism is inherantly pagan and demonic. Hitler’s dabbling in the demonic teachings of Madam Helena Blavatsky would prove his demonology.

You know, I don’t think Hitler ever picked up a Tanakh aside from maybe to have it burned. I may be wrong…

And how is racism or hate of another religion pagan and demonic? I always attributed it to ignorance, apathy, and stupidity.

The White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, the Nazis (you may have missed where I said Hitler had his own modified brand of Christianity and claimed the Christian God had called him to exterminate the Jews), lots of nominal Christians who hate Muslims (Arabs are Semites too!), the general population of Europe throughout the Middle Ages who followed the ideas of the bishop Melito of Sardis and committed blood libel against them, the Holy Roman Emperor Constantine, Justinian, the Inquisition courts, Martin Luther, lots of nominal Muslims who hate Jews, lots of nominal Jews who hate Muslims (remember, Semite covers a lot of ground), Stalinists, and many Holocaust deniers would disagree with that.

Hate for Jews is demonic. It’s just that many non-demonic people have been tricked into hating Jews. German patriotism has nothing to do with hating Jews, but Hitler used German patriotism to create a climate of hate.

But for centuries christians had a probelm with reading the mass in anything but Latin. How is that different?

Wrong, sure, but I believe that humans are responsible for their own evil rather than blaming it on a devil. Nor are ‘pagan’ and ‘demonic’ synonyms. Pagan simply means ‘not Christian’ and is used to refer to anyone who does not worship the Abrahamic God, and I think you made a poor word choice by equating it with the actions and intentions of demons from the deepest infernal reaches.

What I meant to say is that hate for God’s people originated with satan, and therefore people who hate God’s people are in step with demonic forces.

You said it was pagan as well as demonic. I say iit’s neither. racism, hate for religions, sexism, etc is evil, not demonic or pagan. You need to learn to choose your words more carefully and not let an anti-pagan bias slip into your conversations,

Paganism is demonic. This is why God warned His people against copying the practices of the pagan nations they would come into contact with as they journeyed to the promised land.

Pagans as a group (if you can even lump them all together like that, given how broad a spectrum the word covers) do not hate God’s people. Some individual pagans do, but that is their mistake and their evil, not the group’s.

Paganism is different; if to you that means demons must be at its root, so be it, but I’m not going to buy into that. People haven’t worshipped your deity all throughout history, and keep in mind that some of them may believe the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is in fact a demon! And in their minds, they’re just as right as you are in yours.

As to copying practices of pagans, that’s actually happened quite a lot as Christianity expanded. Easter took on some properties of pagan fertility rituals (that rabbit is a symbol, and so are the birds missing bees); Christmas was fixed around the time of the winter solstice celebration; many ‘pious legend’ saints were in fact minor pagan deities, as were many ‘evil spirits’. All Hallow’s Eve is reminiscent of ancient practices of ancestor worship, particularly in the Catholic stronghold of Mexico where it is Dia de los Muertos. Nothing is immutable.

Or could it be that priest disallowed it to keep their religion in power? Or maybe you just have blind belief in the writings of several thousand years ago about pagans whose practices have little in common with the pagans of today. Maybe you do believe pagans are demonic.

So it’s bad to hate Jews, but it’s okay to hate pagans?

Hate pagans? That’s not what I said. Giving worship to false gods is something God forbids in his word, so it’s obvious that to do so would be evil.

If Allah God created all mankind and loves everyone, why does your religion portray Him as having favortism towards the Arabic nationality, language, and culture?
"O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other. Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things).(Qur’an 049:013)

The farewell sermon of the Noble Prophet (PBUH):
“All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black, nor a black has any superiority over a white - except by piety and good action”

Salaam.
Joseph.
